The 30th and last round lacks much drama as the only questions left unsettled are who, between Metalurg and Shkendija, will finish in second place, and the table positioning for 5th through 8th place.
The current second placed team, Metalurg, visits this year’s champions Vardar for the derby of the round. Vardar will be presented with the league trophy and will surely want to conclude the year with a positive result. Metalurg, on the other hand, needs the three points to hold off Shkendija who plays a lesser opponent this round in Napredok. Metalurg leads by just one point so the outcomes in these two matches will determine the final order.
The relegation battle has no question marks as Ohrid and 11 Oktomvri are the two clubs that were directly relegated. Both sides won promotion to the First League this season but their journey lasted for just one year before heading back to the second division. To close the season, Ohrid will host Renova while 11 Oktomvri travels to Shtip to take on Bregalnica.
In addition, the relegation play-offs are also decided as well. Horizont Turnovo leads Teteks by three points entering the final round but the latter can’t catch the former since Turnovo has the better head to head record, the first tiebreaker in case of a tie. Therefore, Horizont Turnovo will face fourth ranked Second League side Gorno Lisiche in the upcoming play-off while Teteks will meet third ranked side Skopje. The winners will play in the First League next season.
Both Turnovo and Teteks will utilize the last round to get ready for those important matchups. Horizont Turnovo is scheduled to square off against Rabotnichki at home, while Teteks also has a home encounter against Sileks.
