Preview: Champions League and Europa League draw

Both draws will take place on Monday; photo UEFA.comFour Macedonian teams expect the Monday’s draw in order to learn their opponents for the European summer which will be held in the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland.

The first to learn its opponent will be League and Cup holders Rabotnichki. The draw for the UEFA Champions League first and second qualifying round is scheduled for Monday at 12.00 CET. Rabotnichki starts from the second round as unseeded team and will get an opponent with better ranking points. However, that doesn’t mean automatically a better quality opponent. Most of the teams are better, but Rabotnichki’s fans are hoping to be drawn against the champions of Azerbaijan, Finland, Latvia or Kazakhstan.

The second round games are scheduled for 15/16 and 22/23 July.

After the conclusion of the Champions League draw will follow the one for the Europa League where three Macedonian teams will learn their opponents. Metalurg as seeded, while Turnovo and Shkendija as unseeded will participate in the draw, but won’t be able to face each other. At 13.00 CET it will be held the draw for the first qualifying round, followed by the one for the second at 14.30.

The first round games are scheduled for 3 and 10 July, while the second round games for 17 and 24 the same month.
