This was a rather quiet weekend for the potential internationals as none of them scored a goal, neither collected an assist.
Albania, Kategoria Superiore, Teuta – Bylis 1:0
Amir Bilali made the start for Bylis and played all minutes in the narrow loss away against Teuta.
Australia, Hyundai A-League, Melbourne City – Sydney FC 3:0
Ivan Necevski was the reserve goalkeeper for Sydney, while Robert Stambolziev opened on Sydney’s bench and played the last half hour after replacing Ali Abbas. Their teammate Christopher Naumoff didn’t make the matchday squad, as well as Steve Kuzmanovski, who wasn’t called up by the home side.
Australia, Hyundai A-League, Perth Glory – Newcastle Jets 2:0
Benjamin Kantarovski opened on the visitors bench and played the last half hour after he took the place of Miloš Trifunović.
Austria, Bundesliga, Red Bull Salzburg – Grödig 3:0
Benjamin Sulimani played the first half for Grödig as he made the start, but was replaced by Martin Rasner after the half-time break.
Belgium, Jupiler Pro League, Waasland-Beveren – Mechelen 0:0
Erdin Demir played the whole match at left-back for Waasland-Beveren and was part of a defense that kept a clean sheet.
Bosnia and Herzegovina, Premijer Liga, Velež – Željezničar 0:1
Goalkeeper Vedran Kjosevski played the entire match for Željezničar and kept a clean sheet in the narrow win away to Velež. Actually, Macedonia’s U21 national team is in need for a goalkeeper as several candidates are injured or out of form. Unfortunately, Kjosevski has already played in official games for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s youth national teams, therefore a long procedure is required to make Kjosevski eligible for Macedonia. Even if he wants to play for Macedonia, it wouldn’t work out for the upcoming qualifying games.
Denmark, Alka Superliga, Aarhus – København 0:0
Bashkim Kadrii made the bench for København and made a late substitute appearance as he replaced Benjamin Verbić in the 84th minute. Eventually, the game ended in a goalless draw.
Denmark, Alka Superliga, Nordsjælland – Midtjylland 2:1
Emre Mor started in attack for the home side and played until the 65th minute. Midtjylland opened the score in the first half, but Mor’s team answered with two goals in the second half, thus collecting three points from the home encounter.
France, Ligue 1, OGC Nice – Troyes 2:1
Deniz Hümmet was an unused substitute for Troyes.
Greece, Super League, Giannina – Panetolikos 2:0
Marko Markovski played all minutes at centre-forward for Panetolikos.
Serbia, SuperLiga, OFK Beograd – Novi Pazar 0:0
In the goalless draw against Novi Pazar, Marko Pavlovski played all minutes in midfield for the home side.
Slovenia, PrvaLiga Telekom Slovenije, Domžale – Gorica 1:1
Left-back Dejan Trajkovski played all minutes for Domžale and was also booked with a yellow card in the 26th minute.
Sweden, Svenska Cupen, Malmö – Sundsvall 4:0
Midfielder Erdal Rakip played the last ten minutes for Malmö after he replaced Anders Christiansen, while his teammate, goalie Marko Johansson, wasn’t called up for this game. Malmö finished on the first place in the Svenska Cupen group 5 and thus advanced to the quarter-finals where they will take on Norrköping.
