Goran Popov recovering well from surgery

Goran Popov gave an update about his recovery from knee surgery and hopes to participate in group training by late January.

Defender Goran Popov told Dynamo Kyiv’s website that he is flying to Italy on Thursday where doctors will examine his knee once again to see the progress that he has made.  Popov underwent a knee surgery to repair a damaged meniscus in Rome, Italy on 22 November of 2011.  Goran expects to begin intense running workouts after 20 January and then join group training by the end of the month.


Popov stated that his recovery was done in Macedonia as the Dynamo Kyiv doctors allowed him to recover at home.  He performed the necessary exercises on the knee that were described by the Italian doctor who performed the surgery.  Popov finished by saying that everything went well and he had no restrictions during his rehabilitation program.
