Pelister wins play-off, Drita – Gorno Lisiche interrupted

With the lone goal of Dragan Dimitrovski, Pelister beat Skopje and won another season in the Macedonian best league. Pelister, who finished 10th had to face the third-placed team from the Second League, Skopje. After a goalless first half, Pelister legendary striker scored in the 68th minute bringing a large amount of joy to its fans. In the dying moment of the game, Pelister’s Filip Milenkovski was shown a second yellow card and had to leave the field. The Bitola based team managed to defend the lead and prevent the club from being relegated, while Skopje second year in a row lost a promotion play-off.

The other play-off between Drita and Gorno Lisiche didn’t see its end. Gorno Lisiche who was 4th in the Second League was leading 2:0 on half-time thanks to the brace by Aleksandar Pandovski. Then 8 minutes into the second half Ardijan Nuhiu brought back Drita into the game, but just moment later Marjan Mickov scored and Gorno Lisiche was again leading by two goals. Ten minutes later Argjent Ramadani brought back again to a goal negative. What followed was the interruption of the game. In the 75th minute the referee awarded Gorno Lisiche a penalty which led to a furious reaction by the Drita players especially the goalkeeper Burhan Mustafa and defender Iliknur Djaferi who were sent off for their behaviour. The penalty was never taken as all of Drita’s players and staff left the field and never came back. The rules are saying that Gorno Lisiche will be the winner of this outcome, it should be just verified by the FFM. On the other hand, Drita should expect a severe penalty for leaving the field.
