Pelister earned promotion to First League after winning both legs against Horizont Turnovo in the promotion playoff.

Pelister returns to the First League! The Bitola based club was relegated in the last season, but quickly found its way back to the First League. It took a miracle in the last round to get to third place as not only they needed a win but other results had to work their way, but that happened.

Afterwards, Pelister needed to face Horizont Turnovo, a team that was a regular member of the First League since 2008 when they were first promoted. After the 2:1 win in the first leg, Pelister could have earned the promotion with a draw, but they went on to win the second game as well. The final score was 1:0 and the lone goal was scored by Dejan Cvetanoski in the 62nd minute.

This is Pelister’s second comeback to the First League as they were also relegated in the past once but managed to return. It took them only one season this time, but they will be looking to rebuild the squad now as bigger challenges await them.
