Newspapers in England are reporting that Crystal Palace, Watford, and Newcastle are all interested in the services of Patrick Zlatanovski.
Patrick Zlatanovski, who will turn 17 later this month, is drawing interest from three English clubs. Zlatanovski is a product of the Rapid Wien youth system but looks set to leave the club this summer. Current Macedonian international Ilco Naumoski was also part of the renowned Rapid Wien youth system before he left the club at a young age to join another Austrian club. The agent of Zlatanovski, Dietmar Wendorff, confirmed that Zlatanovski will play in a test match for Crystal Palace on Saturday but his client is also drawing interest from Watford and Newcastle. Keep in mind that Crystal Palace is also the club where Velice Sumulikoski went on trial last year but he was not offered a contract by then manager George Burley.
Zlatanovski is a member of the Macedonian U17 national team. He was born in Austria but decided to represent Macedonia internationally as he comes from Macedonian descent. His agent also told SkySports that, “Patrick had trials with Barcelona at the age of 15 and they wanted to sign him but they wanted the parents to move as well. That was not possible because his parents run a company in Vienna but now he feels ready to go to a new country.” Zlatanovski would be available on a free transfer. Some German newspapers reported that Köln was interested in Zlatanovski earlier this summer but it now seems more likely that Zlatanovski will latch on with a team from England.
