Pandev lively for Inter in today’s game

Goran Pandev provided an assist as his Inter celebrated a win over Celtic in the Dublin Super Cup.

Goran Pandev continued his solid preseason with another good game for Inter as they won 2:0 over Celtic in the Dublin Super Cup.  Pandev played the first half before he was substituted at the start of the 2nd half by Wesley Sneijder.  Goran provided the assist on the first goal for Inter in the 7th minute when he sent a nice through ball to Luc Castaignos who showed good finishing skills to score past the Celtic keeper.  Pandev was active throughout the first half and showed great vision that opened up numerous chances for his teammates.  Pazzini was the beneficiary of two great Pandev passes but his first chance was barely missed while his second chance in the 40th minute was denied by the Celtic keeper who made a great save and it went for a corner.  Goran also showed great vision in the 44th minute when he somehow found Castaignos but the Celtic keeper made another good save to deny the young Dutchmen.  The next game for Inter is tomorrow against Manchester City.

Even with Pandev’s good performances during these friendlies, the talk won’t go away about him possibly leaving Inter.  Napoli has been strongly linked with Pandev and recently, Pandev’s agent said that Goran would be okay with a move to Napoli if he had to leave Inter.  Pandev can only control his play on the field and so far he has done well but Inter will decide whether Pandev will stay on their team.  Pandev needed to convince new Inter manager Gian Piero Gasperini of his qualities this summer and he has done that up to this point with good performances but it is still not certain that Pandev will remain with Inter for the upcoming season.  Goran has a contract with Inter until the summer of 2014 and his preference would be to remain with Inter as he wants to prove his worth to the club that brought him over to Italy when he was only 18 years old from Belasica.
