In a round that saw no draws, Teteks, Pelister, Gostivar, Makedonija GjP and Gorno Lisiche came out on top this weekend.
Table leaders Makedonija GjP proved that they are firm favorites for promotion. On Saturday, in a tough road setting in Prilep, they managed to overcome Pobeda 1:0. That was the first loss for Pobeda this season with veteran striker Boban Janchevski scoring the only goal. The match actually never reached its end since several home fans invaded the field in the 72nd minute, but it’s obvious that Makedonija GjP will be given the 3 points, whether it stays 1:0 or FFM could award them a 3:0 victory.
In Skopje, in a matchup between the second and third ranked teams, Ljubanci hosted Gostivar. The game seemed headed for a goalless draw, but then the visitors of Gostivar stunned Ljubanci with two late goals. The three points moved Gostivar into second place.
Gorno Lisiche, occupying the last spot not too long ago, won its second game in a row. With a brace by Martin Hristov, they beat Vlazrimi 77 to get out of the relegation zone for the time being. Vlazrimi 77 did convert a late penalty six minutes from time to make for an interesting finish, but they could not get any closer.
Teteks and Pelister, both undefeated, played their games on Sunday and each side won 1:0. Teteks was very fortunate as they benefited from an own goal by Miravci’s Kostadin Djinov, while Pelister triumphed over Skopje thanks a goal by Aleksandar Nedanoski.
