Oliver Peev switches to Agrotikos Asteras

Midfielder Oliver Peev left Metalurg to join Greek side Agrotikos Asteras.

It was known that Peev would leave Metalurg, but these days it was confirmed his new destination: Greek second league side Agrotikos Asteras. The 27-year old signed for Agrotikos in order to help the Thessaloniki based club to remain in the second league.

Agrotikos Asteras last season won promotion as ended first in the Third League Group 1 for teams from Northern Greece and next season will compete in the Second League Group North.

This is the second adventure abroad for Peev as he spent one half season in Turkish side Boluspor back in 2011. For Metalurg he played since July 2012, while previously he was part of Shkendija, Teteks and Vardar.

So far 7 players left Metalurg, including Peev: Sedat Berisha (Shkendija), Risto Mitrevski (Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina), Blagoja Ljamcevski (Vardar), Mirche Djonov (Sileks), while Zoran Vujović and Ljubomir Stevanović are still searching for a new club. In Monday’s draw, Metalurg got Andorran side UE Santa Coloma in the first qualifying round of the Europa League.
