Oliver Peev joins Shkendija, Mensur Kurtisi might follow suit

Midfielder Oliver Peev has become the latest addition for the defending Macedonian champions Shkendija.

Oliver Peev has joined Shkendija from Turkish second division club Boluspor.  Peev actually started last year with Tetovo based club Teteks but joined Boluspor during the January transfer window.  He only spent a couple of months with the Turkish club but failed to make much of an impact so he has returned to the Macedonian league with Shkendija.  Peev is 23 years old and has also played for Vardar during his career.  Oliver is a former member of the Macedonian U21 national team.

In other news, Shkendija has also entered negotiations with striker Mensur Kurtisi.  Mensur made two caps for the Macedonian national team during friendlies in the summer of 2010 and spent last year with a club in Saudi Arabia.  He is currently a free agent and was on trial at Karpaty Lviv earlier this summer but was not offered a contract.  Kurtisi is expected to agree to terms with Shkendija and will most likely continue his career in Macedonia.  His biggest accomplishment to date was being named the best player of the Austrian second division during the 2007-2008 season.
