Sasa Ognenovski and his Seongnam are going to face Goran Pandev’s Inter in the semi-finals of the 2010 FIFA Club World Cup that is beeing played in the UAE.
Ognenovski, who recently debuted for Australia, played the whole game for Asian Champions League winners Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma from South Korea who beat the host team Al-Wahda with 4:1. The team captain scored the second goal for his team in the 30th minute for 2:1, just three minutes after Fernando Baiano scored for Al-Wahda to level on 1:1. Later Ognenovski received a yellow card in the 61st minute for handballing.
With this win, Seongnam will now proceed to the semi-finals where will face UEFA Champions League winners Inter from Italy. It will be an interesting clash between Goran Pandev and Sasa Ognenovski. The game will be played on Wednesday at 18.00 CET at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
