Defender Sasa Ognenovski was chosen among the four best defenders in the Australian Hyundai A-League All Star team for the past season. The All Star team was voted by the A-League fans.
Ognenovski, who got a call by Srečko Katanec but didn't had his debut for Macedonia because of the amateurism of FFM and AMS, was once again given credit for his talent and great form. He was chosen in the All Star best 11 players of the Australian A-League for the past season. He also played in the FIFA Club World Cup 2008 in Japan with his Adelaide United and got the 5th place.
