For tomorrow’s domestic cup game against Holstein Kiel, defender Nikolce Noveski will reclaim his starting spot at left CB for Mainz.

Mainz manager Thomas Tuchel announced in today’s press conference that Noveski will play in tomorrow’s German Cup game against Holstein Kiel.  Noveski will move in to the starting lineup for fellow defender Bo Svensson who suffered a torn ACL in the previous game and will be out of action for several months.  Therefore, after seven weeks of being sidelined by a nagging thigh injury, Noveski will reclaim his starting spot in time for tomorrow’s domestic cup game.

Holstein Kiel plays in the fourth division so Mainz will be a huge favorite to advance to the quarter-finals of the German Cup.  However, the Mainz manager warned his players not to underestimate Holstein Kiel and to play determined football in order to ensure a place in the next round of the domestic cup.
