Nikola Gligorov found the back of the net for Alki

Midfielder Nikola Gligorov helped Alki secure a point in their home encounter against AEK Larnaca with a late goal that tied the game at 2:2.

Nikola Gligorov, summoned by manager John Toshack for the upcoming friendly against Luxembourg, scored an important late goal to hand Alki a point.  Alki trailed 0:2 after 30 minutes but quickly reduced the deficit in the 36th minute before Gligorov equalized the game at 2:2 in the 80th minute.  A cross from the left was long but a fellow Alki player headed the ball back and it perfectly found Gligorov who unleashed a low, powerful shot from just inside the area past the AEK Larnaca keeper.

Thus, both teams earned a point and remained 6th and 7th place on the table in Cyprus.  AEK Larnaca has now compiled 32 points from 21 rounds while Alki is one position below with 28 points.
