Muzafer Ejupi joins Songkhla United

Another Macedonian footballer has moved to Thailand after Muzafer Ejupi completed his transfer to Songkhla United.

The 25-year-old forward Muzafer Ejupi is officially a member of Songkhla United after he passed his medical earlier in the day.  The transfer was confirmed to us by his agent Dejan Vukadinovic of GDM Sport agency.  Vukadinovic was also responsible for the transfer of Borche Manevski to Chainat last month.

Mario Gjurovski became the first Macedonian player to sign in Thailand several years ago, but he is now joined there by three more compatriots (the aforementioned Manevski, Ejupi and also Darko Tasevski).  Thailand is an attractive place for Macedonian players since the salaries there are significantly higher than in Macedonia.  Both Manevski and Ejupi are fringe players who received offers that they couldn’t refuse in Thailand.

Songkhla United has not had much success in the current 2014 season.  After the opening 21 rounds, they find themselves in the relegation zone with just 22 points.
