Central defender Aleksandar Damchevski will be going on trial with Dutch top division club NAC Breda.
The trial of Aleksandar Damchevski at NAC Brega will begin tomorrow, on Thursday. He will train with them for a week or so, play in some friendlies and then the Dutch club will decide whether to purchase the 21-year-old Macedonian defender.
Damchevski was born in Strasbourg, France to a Macedonian father. In late May of this year, in the friendly against Qatar, Damchevski debuted for the senior national team of Macedonia. He was a late call-up after injuries at the position. Aleksandar then added two more caps in the two friendlies against China last month. Manager Boshko Gjurovski had positive things to say about Damchevski after his debut.
Damchevski is currently a free agent after last playing with Chernomorets in Bulgaria. However, after the club was relegated to the second division at the end of the season, most of the foreign players were let go, including Damchevski.
NAC Breda barely avoided relegation during the 2013-14 season as they finished in 15th place, just one spot ahead of the relegation zone in the 18 team league. During his trial, Damchevski will be looking to impress club manager Nebojša Gudelj who will then decide whether to acquire the Macedonian central defender.
