Daniel Mojsov has been punished by Vojvodina once again for refusing to extend his contract which is set to expire in December of 2012.
This scenario also occurred to Mojsov last season when he initially rejected to extend his contract that was set to expire this summer. However, after being excluded from the team for several weeks and wanting to calm the tensions with Vojvodina, he agreed to extend the deal until December, hoping that would lead to a transfer this summer. That has hot happened yet and now Vojvodina wants Mojsov to extend his contract once again.
Vojvodina played a friendly yesterday against Russian side Fakel and Daniel was not included in the team. After the game, the sports director of the Serbian club said, “Mojsov is currently not in the plans of the team because he does not want to extend his contract which is set to expire in the winter.”
Mojsov is not expected to travel with Vojvodina as they travel to Austria tomorrow to continue their summer preparations. A source close to Daniel told us that he will remain in Serbia and look for a new club. Vojvodina has supposedly reduced the transfer fee in order to get some money for Mojsov since he is adamant in wanting to continue his career elsewhere.
Israeli side Hapoel Be’er Sheva apparently submitted a bid to buy Mojsov in mid June, according to Israeli newspaper reports, but the source close to Daniel told us that he knew nothing about such an offer and Mojsov would not be particularly enthused about playing for that club.
