Aleksandar Vasoski (L) reacts during the cup game vs AlemanniaEintracht Frankfurt and Aleksandar Vasoski were eliminated from the German Cup, while Neftçi with Igor Mitreski and Slavco Georgievski finished on 1st place in the top Azerbaijani league at the end of the first half of the season.

Germany, DFB-Pokal, Alemannia Aachen – Eintracht Frankfurt 1:1  (Alemannia Aachen advanced 5:3 on penalties)
Aleksandar Vasoski played all 120 minutes for Eintracht Frankfurt and also picked up a yellow card in the 117th minute while his teammate Oka Nikolov was not called up because of an injury.  This game was tied at 0:0 after 90 minutes so it went into extra time where both teams scored a goal and it went into penalty kicks.  Alemannia Aachen went first and converted all five penalties while Alexander Meier had the decisive miss for Eintracht when his penalty went over the goal in the rainy conditions which meant Eintracht was eliminated from the German Cup.  As a matter of fact, Alemannia Aachen from the German second division was also the team that eliminated Mainz in the previous round of the German Cup so they eliminated the teams of both Nikolce Noveski and Aleksandar Vasoski.

Azerbaijan, Unibank Premyer Liqası, Neftçi – Turan Tovuz 2:0
Both Igor Mitreski and Slavco Georgievski played the entire game for Neftçi who returned to their winning ways at home after their last home game resulted in a surprising 2:0 loss to FK Bakı.  This game concluded the first half of the season in Azerbaijan and Neftçi is currently in 1st place with 41 points after 19 rounds.

Azerbaijan, Unibank Premyer Liqası, Inter Bakı – Gäncä 1:0
Filip Despotovski
remains out with an injury for Inter Bakı.

Azerbaijan, Unibank Premyer Liqası, Muğan – AZAL 3:1
Sasko Pandev
started for Muğan and played until the 62nd minute when he was replaced by Ravi Rahmanov while Robert Petrov played all 90 minutes for AZAL who took the lead in the 8th minute before Muğan scored three consecutive goals to record the victory.

Netherlands, KNVB Beker, Roda – PSV Eindhoven 1:3
Yani Urdinov was an unused substitute for Roda while his teammates Aleksandar Stankov and Antonio Stankov were not called up as their team was eliminated from the Dutch Cup.

Saudi Arabia, Zain Saudi League, Al-Nassr – Al-Taawon 2:2
Mensur Kurtisi started for Al-Taawon and played until the 70th minute when he was replaced by Hussain Al-Shehri.  Kurtisi also picked up a yellow card in the 1st minute.

Greece, Football League, Thrasyvoulos – Veria 1:0
Dejan Blazevski played from the start for Veria.
