Midweek internationals performances (18-20.09 ’18)

Krste Velkoski scored a real beauty of a goal for Sarajevo, while Daniel Mojsov caused a penalty by handball which lead to AEK suffering a narrow home defeat by Zürich in the opening round of the Europa League where 5 Macedonian internationals played.

UEFA Europa League Group A, Cyprus AEK – Switzerland Zürich 0:1
Ivan Trichkovski and Daniel Mojsov both played the full 90 minutes against Swiss side Zürich. Daniel turned out to play a decisive role in the final result as he caused a penalty for Zürich by handball, which lead to the lone goal of the game that remained to be the final score. Trichkovski also served as captain for AEK in today’s game.

UEFA Europa League Group D, Croatia Dinamo – Turkey Fenerbahçe 4:1
Elif Elmas visited Ariajn Ademi in Zagreb but they did not met on the field as Arijan is still sidelined with the injury. Elif on the other hand played the entire game for the visitors but his Fenerbahçe conceded a huge 4:1 loss against Ademi’s Dinamo. Elmas also got booked in the 69th minute.

UEFA Europa League Group E, England Arsenal – Ukraine Vorskla 4:2
Keeper Dejan Iliev wasn’t included in Unai Emery’s squad.

UEFA Europa League Group E, Portugal Sporting – Azerbaijan Qarabağ 2:0
Stefan Ristovski played the entire game for Sporting on his usual right-back position and helped his team keep a clean sheet in the 2:0 win against Qarabağ.

UEFA Europa League Group L, Hungary Vidi – Belarus BATE 0:2
Boban Nikolov played until the 78th minute when attacker Zsombor Berecz substituted him as Vidi was losing 1:0 at the time. His team did not have a good debut as they were defeated by the Belarusian side in front of their own fans.

Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kup BiH, Velež – Sarajevo 0:1
Captain Krste Velkoski scored the game winning goal for the Maroon-Whites in the 58th minute sending his team into the next stage. It was a great volley shot. Velkoski played the whole game.

Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kup BiH, Zvijezda 09 – Mladost 1:0
Djelil Asani played the full 90 minutes for Mladost who got eliminated by currently winless side in the Bosnian top flight.

Croatia, Hrvatski Kup, Zagorec – Osijek 0:3
Muzafer Ejupi wasn’t summoned by the visitors due to injury. His team easily advanced into the eight-finals.

England, Championship, Leeds United – Preston North End 3:0
Ezgjan Alioski played the entire match and got booked in the 30th minute. His Leeds continues to lead the table in the English second tier.

Japan, J2 League, Ventforet Kōfu – Ōmiya Arudīja 1:0
David Babunski started for thew visitors and played until the 67th minute when Shintaro Shimada took his place. Just two minutes later his team conceded the winner.

Slovakia, Slovnaft Cup, Tatran KNK – Žilina 0:6
Enis Fazlagikj didn’t play in this cup match.

Slovenia, Pokal Slovenije, Celje – Krško 0:3
Milan Ristovski played the whole game for Krško, while his teammate Medin Bajrami wasn’t summoned.

Slovenia, Pokal Slovenije, Olimpija – Triglav 2:1
Daniel Avramovski was given a rest from this cup game. Olimpija advanced in the quarter-finals where will face Krško of Ristovski and Bajrami.
