The midweek period featured more games than usual due to cup encounters and pre-Easter matches in some countries, but it was not very kind to Macedonian internationals.
Austria, ÖFB Samsung Cup, Kapfenberg – Austria Wien 0:2
Vanche Shikov was not included in the matchday squad by Austria Wien. Manager Andreas Ogris, recently appointed, started Patrizio Stronati and Lukas Rotpuller in central defense, while Manuel Ortlechner was on the bench as the #3 CB. If that continues, then Shikov will be on the outside looking in.
Slovenia, PrvaLiga Telekom Slovenije, Olimpija – Maribor 0:0
Agim Ibraimi played all 90 minutes for Maribor in the goalless draw against Olimpija. As for Aleksandar Lazevski, he was once again absent from the matchday squad. It appears that Lazevski failed to impress Olimpija, leading to the decision for them to go with another option at left-back.
Croatia, Hrvatski Nogometni Kup, Dinamo Zagreb – Rijeka 2:1
Arijan Ademi captained Dinamo Zagreb and played the entire game as he was deemed healthy enough to take part. Dinamo Zagreb will carry a slim lead into the return leg of their semi-final matchup against Rijeka in the Croatian Cup.

Switzerland, Schweizer Cup, St. Gallen – Basel 1:3
Muhamed Demiri was a healthy exclusion by St. Gallen who was eliminated from the Swiss Cup with this home loss against Basel.
Bosnia and Herzegovina, BH Telecom Premijer Liga, Drina – Sarajevo 0:0
Krste Velkoski continues to be left out of the matchday squad by Sarajevo. What’s more puzzling is that while Sarajevo was playing this game, Velkoski was not even in the same country as he posted photos from Croatia on Instagram. Unless Sarajevo makes a managerial change, it looks like Velkoski is no longer in the plans of the coach.
Bosnia and Herzegovina, BH Telecom Premijer Liga, Borac Banja Luka – Olimpic 0:1
Filip Gligorov started for Olimpic and played until the 63rd minute when he was replaced by Denis Čomor. Olimpic netted the lone goal in the 53rd minute to take home all three points.
