Midweek internationals performances

Champions League and Europa League play resumed this midweek period, while Martin Bogatinov kept his second consecutive clean sheet for Ermis.

UEFA Champions League, Group D, Arsenal – Galatasaray 4:1
Goran Pandev started for Galatasaray and played until the 68th minute when he was substituted by Portuguese attacker Bruma.  Galatasaray struggled mightily with the speed and quickness of Arsenal striker Danny Walbeck who scored a hat-trick to lead the home side to an emphatic win over the Turkish giant.

UEFA Champions League, Group G, Schalke 04 – Maribor 1:1
Agim Ibraimi played the entire game for Maribor who competed well and left Germany with a hard fought point.  Ibraimi had a good chance in the 74th minute, but he sent his effort just wide of the goal.  Still, Maribor can be proud of its performance as they have collected draws in both of their Champions League matches so far.

UEFA Europa League, Group D, Celtic – Dinamo Zagreb 1:0
Arijan Ademi played all 90 minutes for Dinamo Zagreb who suffered a narrow road loss against Celtic in Scotland.  Ademi was also shown a yellow card in the 85th minute.

UEFA Europa League, Group L, Lokeren – Metalist 1:0
Besart Andurahimi got the start for Lokeren and played until the 79th minute when he made way for Jordan Remacle.  Abdurahimi was active and had several shots on goal, but he could not beat the Metalist keeper.

UEFA Europa League, Group F, Inter – Qarabağ 2:0
Muarem Muarem played the whole match for Qarabağ and also received a yellow card in the 90th minute.  Qarabağ fought hard against Inter, but eventually the Italian club scored two goals to pull out the victory.

Italy, Serie A, Udinese – Parma 4:2
Stefan Ristovski was an unused substitute for Parma.  Pedro Mendes once again started at right-back for Parma, but he was innefective which led to him being replaced at the start of the 2nd half.  However, instead of Ristovski coming on, it was actually another defender in Fabiano Santacroce who played right-back in the second half.

Russia, Football National League, Gazovik – Krylia Sovetov 0:1
Adis Jahovikj started in attack for Krylia Sovetov and played until the 90th minute when he was replaced by Sergei Kornilenko.  Krylia Sovetov scored the lone goal in the 32nd minute to move into 1st place following the completion of 12 rounds in the Russian second division.

United Arab Emirates, Arabian Gulf League, Al-Nasr – Al-Wasl 0:0
Ivan Trichkovski played the entire game for Al-Nasr in the goalless draw against Al-Wasl.  Earlier this week, Trichkovski announced that he will withdraw from the Macedonian national team for as long as he plays for Al-Nasr in the United Arab Emirates.  He cited the drastic difference in temperarures between Europe and Dubai, and also the fact that his club has games when the national team matches occur.

Romania, Liga I, CFR Cluj – Universitatea Cluj 1:0
Mirko Ivanovski played all 90 minutes for CFR Cluj who needed a late goal in stoppage time to edge their in-city rival Universitatea Cluj.  With this win, CFR Cluj is currently tied for first place on the table with Steaua.

Bosnia, Kup Bosne i Hercegovine, Sarajevo – Travnik 4:0
Krste Velkoski played the whole match for Sarajevo who rolled to an easy victory over Travnik in the Bosnian Cup.  Sarajevo played its first game under new manager Meho Kodro.

Cyprus, First Division Championship, AEK Larnaca – Ermis 0:0
Martin Bogatinov played from the start for Ermis and kept a clean sheet, while his teammate Besart Ibraimi started in attack and also played the full 90 minutes.  Bogatinov made several good interventions to help his team take home a hard fought point.

Serbia, Jelen SuperLiga, Borac Čačak – Crvena Zvezda 0:1
Daniel Avramovski was not summoned in the Crvena Zvezda squad due to an injury.

Serbia, Jelen SuperLiga, Voždovac – Mladost 2:0
Tome Kitanovski played all 90 minutes for Voždovac who finally won their first game of the 2014/15 season with the triumph over Mladost in the seventh round.

South Korea, K-League Classic, Seongnam – Jeonnam Dragons 1:0
Stevica Ristikj was not included in the 18 player matchday squad by Jeonnam.
