Arijan Ademi played all 90 minutes for Dinamo Zagreb who was surprised at home and sent packing by Aalborg. Dinamo Zagreb won the first leg 1:0 in Denmark and controlled most of the action in the return leg, but Aalborg proved efficient in scoring two goals to eliminate the Croatian giant. With their loss, Dinamo now moved to the play-off round of the Europa League qualifications.

Muarem Muarem was an unused substitute for Qarabağ who lost 3:2 on aggregate to Austrian side Salzburg. Like all the teams that were defeated in the third round of Champions League qualifying, Qarabağ will head to the Europa League play-off round.

Nikolche Noveski played the whole match for Mainz who once again had a shocking display in Europa League qualifying by losing to Asteras Tripoli of the Greek league (defeated 2:3 on aggregate). Mainz was also eliminated in the third round of Europa League qualifying back in the 2011-12 season, and that same faith awaited them again this year as well. Noveski was also shown a yellow card in the 44th minute of this game.

Ferhan Hasani was not included in the Brøndby squad due to a minor injury. Brøndby was unable to solve Club Brugge and lost 0:5 on aggregate over the two games.

Aleksandar Trajkovski played all 90 minutes for Zulte Waregem and provided both assists for the visiting club which were scored by the same player in Idrissa Sylla. Zulte Waregem will now shift its focus to the Belgian league after losing 4:7 on aggregate to Shakhtyor.

Adis Jahovikj played the entire game for Rijeka and scored the first three goals for his team in the easy win over Vikingur. The first two goals by Jahovikj came on headers, while his third goal came after he controlled a cross and fired a shot from close range. Rijeka made things look easy in their 9:1 aggregate victory over minnows Vikingur from the league in Faroe Islands.

Krste Velkoski played the whole match (all 120 minutes) for Sarajevo in their improbable comeback to overcome a 1:2 loss in the first leg at home. Sarajevo also led 1:2 after 90 minutes of this game, so the match went into extra time where the Bosnian club scored the decisive goal to secure a spot in the play-off round.
