Midweek internationals performances

Stefan Spirovski (#92); photo: beroe.bgGoran Pandev amassed one goal and won two penalties for Napoli, Stefan Spirovski scored on a nice strike directly from a free kick for Beroe, Muarem Muarem notched one goal for Qarabağ who also won the league title in Azerbaijan, while Krste Velkoski collected an assist for Sarajevo.

Italy, Serie A, Napoli – Cagliari 3:0
Goran Pandev started at CF for Napoli and played until the 75th minute when he was replaced by Croatian midfielder Josip Radošević.  Pandev was directly involved in all three goals for Napoli.  Goran won two penalties (one converted by Dries Mertens, one missed by Marek Hamsik), scored one goal from close range after a pass from Jose Callejon, and then had his shot saved nicely by the Cagliari keeper but Blerim Dzemaili scored an easy goal on the rebound.  For Cagliari, meanwhile, Agim Ibraimi was also given the start and played until the 55th minute when he made way for backup keeper Vlada Avramov who had to come on after the Cagliari starter was red carded for a foul on Pandev on the second penalty for Napoli.

Jovan Kostovski was an unused substitute for OH Leuven.

Switzerland, Raiffeisen Super League, Grasshoppers – St. Gallen 2:0
Muhamed Demiri was an unused substitute for St. Gallen.

Switzerland, Challenge League, Lugano – Schaffhausen 2:1
Ezgjan Alioski remained out with a suspension with Schaffhausen, while his teammate Deni Krleski came off the bench in the 84th minute to replace Dejan Sorgić.

Norway, NM Cup, Stord – Brann 1:2
Daniel Mojsov played all 90 minutes for Brann who needed a come from behind victory to narrowly get past Stord in the Norwegian Cup.  Mojsov also received a yellow card during the game.

England, Barclays Premier League, Sunderland – West Brom 2:0
Goran Popov continues to be left out of the matchday squad by West Brom.

Romania, Liga I Bergenbier, Steaua București – Corona Braşov 3:0
Daniel Georgievski was not among the 18 players called up by Steaua București, while his teammate Martin Bogatinov stayed on the bench as the #2 keeper behind Florin Niță.

Neither Daniel Georgievski nor Martin Bogatinov were included in the matchday squad by Steaua București.

Mirko Ivanovski started in attack for Astra and played until the 55th minute when he was replaced by Sadat Bukari.  Astra then went on to score two goals after the 69th minute to snatch all three points against Săgeata Năvodari.

Kristijan Naumovski remained on the bench for Dinamo București as the #2 keeper behind Cristian Bălgrădean.

Aco Stojkov was not summoned in the Botoșani squad due to an injury.

Boban Nikolov was not included in the 18 player matchday squad by Viitorul.

Tome Kitanovski was an unused substitute for CS Universitatea Craiova.

Ferhan Hasani opened on the bench for Brøndby before he entered the game in the 69th minute to take the place of Quincy Antipas.  Hasani also picked up a yellow card in the 74th minute.

Denmark, Superliga, Viborg – København 0:2
Antonio Stankov began the match on the bench for Viborg before he was introduced in the 74th minute to replace Marcel Rømer.

Austria, ÖFB-Cup, St. Pölten – Sturm Graz 1:0
Aleksandar Todorovski played the entire game for Sturm Graz who was eliminated from the Austrian Cup in the semi-finals after the loss to St. Pölten.  It was 0:0 after 90 minutes so the match went into 30 minutes of extra time where St. Pölten scored the game winner in the 98th minute.  Todorovski also picked up a yellow card in the 105th minute.

Azerbaijan, Topaz Premyer Liqası, Khazar Lankaran – Sumgayit 4:1
Dejan Blazhevski started on the wing for Khazar Lankaran and played until the 71st minute when he was substituted by fellow Macedonian footballer Nikola Gligorov.

Azerbaijan, Topaz Premyer Liqası, Qarabağ – Inter Bakı 4:1
Muarem Muarem opened on the bench for Qarabağ before he was introduced at the start of the 2nd half by Nikoloz Gelashvili, while Slavcho Georgievski was an unused substitute for Inter Bakı.  Muarem scored the final goal for the home side who celebrated the Azeri league title with the emphatic win over second placed Inter Bakı.

Igor Mitreski played all 90 minutes for Neftçi and was part of a defense that kept a clean sheet in the goalless draw against AZAL.

Edin Nuredinoski was not among the 18 players called up by Bakı.

Cyprus, First Division Championship (Championship Group), Ermis – Anorthosis 0:2
Armend Alimi started in central midfield for Ermis and played until the 40th minute when he was replaced by Giannis Okkas.

Cyprus, First Division Championship (Relegation Group), Ethnikos Achnas – Aris Limassol 3:0
Filip Timov was an unused substitute for Aris Limassol.

Bulgaria, A Group (Relegation Group), Slavia – Chernomorets 1:0
Both Kire Ristevski of Slavia and Aleksandar Damchevski of Chernomorets started at CB for their respective teams and played the full 90 minutes.  Damchevski also received a yellow card during the game as Chernomorets was relegated to the Bulgarian second division with this loss to Slavia.

Bulgaria, A Group (Relegation Group), Beroe – Lyubimets 4:1
Stefan Spirovski played all 90 minutes for Beroe and netted the last goal for the home side in the 74th minute on a nice strike directly from a free kick.  It was Stefan’s first league goal in a Beroe uniform since moving there this past winter.

Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kup Bosne i Hercegovine, Čelik – Sarajevo 0:2
Krste Velkoski played the entire game for Sarajevo and collected the assist on the second goal when he found Milos Stojčev who did the rest with a good finish past the Čelik keeper.  This was the first leg of the Bosnian Cup final, but Sarajevo finds itself in a great position with this result.  They will now head home for the return leg and look to lift the trophy.

Serbia, Lev Kup Srbije, Vojvodina – Jagodina 2:0
Nikola Jakimovski did not feature for Jagodina who lost the Serbian Cup final against Vojvodina.

Netherlands, Eredivisie (Europa League play-offs), AZ Alkmaar – Heerenveen 3:0
Samir Fazli was not among the 18 players called up by Heerenveen.

Sweden, Allsvenskan, Elfsborg – Mjällby 3:1
Daniel Ivanovski was not included in the 18 player matchday squad by Mjällby.

Leonard Zuta was an unused substitute for Häcken.

Kazakhstan, Premyer Ligasi, Kaisar – Atyrau 2:1
Dushan Savikj got the start for Kaisar and played until the 75th minute when he was replaced by Sergei Mošnikov.  Rimo Hunt scored both goals by Kaisar to give them a slim win over Atyrau.

Nikola Tonev played the entire game for Tobol who conceded one goal in each half on their way to the home defeat against Aktobe.

Georgia, Umaglesi Liga (Championship Group), Dinamo Tbilisi – Chikhura Sachkhere 0:0
Darko Glishikj was not among the 18 players called up by Dinamo Tbilisi.

Slovenia, PrvaLiga Telekom Slovenije, Zavrč – Domžale 0:0
Zeni Husmani started in defensive midfield for Domžale and played all 90 minutes in the goalless draw against Zavrč.  Husmani attempted two shots in the 13th and 54th minute, but each effort went wide of the goal.

Greece, Football League Play-offs, Olympiacos Volos – Kerkyra 0:0
Zoran Baldovaliev opened the game on the bench for Kerkyra before he was introduced in the 57th minute to take the place of fellow striker Predrag Sikimić.

Croatia, 2.HNL, Cibalia – Inter Zaprešić 2:1
Ilija Nestorovski played all 90 minutes for Inter Zaprešić in the slim road defeat against Cibalia.
