Midweek internationals performances

Yani Urdinov during the game; photo:fkzeljeznicar.baBoth Daniel Georgievski and Adis Jahovikj scored a goal for their respective teams in domestic cup action, Jovan Kostovski won a penalty for OH Leuven, while Ilija Nestorovski compiled a goal and an assist for Inter Zaprešić.

Italy, Serie A, Fiorentina – Napoli 1:2
Goran Pandev started for Napoli and played until the 81st minute when he made way for Pablo Armero.  Pandev played in attacking midfield for about an hour before he was then moved to the lone striker position once Gonzalo Higuaín was substituted.  Goran was also shown a yellow card in the 22nd minute.

Italy, Serie A, Cagliari – Bologna 0:3
Agim Ibraimi played the opening 45 minutes for Cagliari before he was substituted at the start of the 2nd half by Daniele Dessena.  Ibraimi had two chances that came near the end of the opening half.  In the 44th minute, he sent a shot from distance that went just over the goal, while his powerful effort in the 45th minute from a tight angle was punched away by the Bologna keeper.

Belgium, Jupiler Pro League, Charleroi – Mechelen 2:2
Tome Pachovski played from the start for Mechelen and conceded two goals in the 57th and 83rd minute, while his teammate Aleksandar Trajkovski stayed on the bench as an unused substitute.  Mechelen scored its two goals in the 89th and 90th minute to take home an unlikely point.

Ivan Trichkovski was an unused substitute for Waasland-Beveren.

Belgium, Jupiler Pro League, OH Leuven – Mons 2:2
Jovan Kostovski played all 90 minutes for OH Leuven and won a penalty for his team in the 43rd minute when he was brought down inside the area.  The defender that committed the foul was also shown a red card by the referee.  Bjorn Ruytinx took and converted the penalty to tie the game at 2:2 as that turned out to be the final goal of the match.

Ukraine, Kubok Ukraini, Ternopil – Vorskla 1:1  (Ternopil advanced 3:1 on penalties)
Adis Jahovikj opened the game on the bench for Vorskla before he was introduced at the start of the 2nd half to replace Artem Hromov.  Jahovikj scored the lone Vorskla goal in the 54th minute with a simple tap in after a low cross by his teammate Ahmed Januzi.  Since the match was tied at 1:1 after both 90 and 120 minutes (following 30 minutes fo extra time), it went into penalty kicks where third division side Ternopil prevailed 3:1 to eliminate Vorskla from the Ukrainian Cup.  Adis took the first spot kick for Vorskla in the penalty shootout, but his effort hit the top of the crossbar.

Martin Bogatinov continues to be kept out of the Karpaty matchday squad.

Romania, Cupa României, Steaua București – Poli Timișoara 2:0
Daniel Georgievski played the entire game for Steaua București and scored the opening goal in the 12th minute on a rebound after Cristian Tănase’s initial shot was saved by the opposing keeper.  Daniel was also involved in the action on the second goal for Steaua in the 74th minute when his low cross from the right was first contacted by Andrei Prepeliță before striker Federico Piovaccari then pounced to score an easy goal into an empty net.

Romania, Cupa României, Gaz Metan Mediaș – Astra 0:1
Mirko Ivanovski started for Astra in attack and played until the 69th minute when he was substituted by Yazalde.  Astra scored the lone goal of the match in the 86th minute to reach the quarter-finals of the Romanian Cup.

Romania, Liga I Bergenbier, Dinamo București – Concordia 2:1
Kristijan Naumovski played from the start for Dinamo București and conceded one goal in the 62nd minute on a shot from the edge of the area.

Romania, Cupa României, Dinamo București – Chindia Târgovişte 5:0
Kristijan Naumovski stayed on the bench for Dinamo București as the #2 keeper behind Cristian Bălgrădean.  Dinamo played two games in the span of four days (Monday and Thursday) in the midweek period and the club’s manager handed one start apiece to his top two goalkeepers.

Boban Nikolov started on the bench for Viitorul before he entered the game in the 61st minute replacing Alin Cârstocea.  Viitorul scored the lone goal of the match in the 11th minute to narrowly edge Brașov and reach the next round of the competition.

Switzerland, Raiffeisen Super League, Aarau – St. Gallen 2:2
Muhamed Demiri was an unused substitute for St. Gallen.

Poland, T-Mobile Ekstraklasa, Wisła Kraków – Widzew Łódź 3:0
Ostoja Stjepanovikj played the entire game for Wisła Kraków in defensive midfield and also received a yellow card in the 90th minute.

Bulgaria, A Group, Pirin – Botev Plovdiv 1:1
Boban Grncharov played all 90 minutes for Botev Plovdiv at his usual CB position, while Dragi Kocev came off the bench for Pirin in the 86th minute to replace Kostadin Bashov.

Bulgaria, A Group, CSKA Sofia – Beroe 1:0
Hristijan Kirovski was an unused substitute for CSKA Sofia.

Serbia, Kup Srbije, Čukarički – Jagodina 0:2
Predrag Rangjelovikj started in midfield for Jagodina and played until the 65th minute when he was substituted by Vuk Mitosevic, while his teammate Dragan Stojkov came off the bench in the 85th minute to replace Milos Lepovic.

Serbia, Kup Srbije, Donji Srem – Borac Čačak 2:0
Stefan Ashkovski played the entire game for Donji Srem and was part of a defense that kept a clean sheet, while Stefan Spirovski also played the full 90 minutes for the visiting side Borac Čačak.  Donji Srem scored a goal in each half to down Borac and reach the next round of the Serbian Cup.

Serbia, Kup Srbije, OFK Beograd – Jedinstvo Putevi 2:1
Darko Micevski did not feature for OFK Beograd who recovered from a 0:1 halftime deficit to defeat Jedinstvo, scoring the game winning goal in the 90th minute.

Netherlands, KNVB Beker, Heerenveen – VVV-Venlo 1:0
Samir Fazli was not included in the 18 player squad by Heerenveen.

Netherlands, KNVB Beker, MVV Maastricht – ADO Den Haag 2:1
Antonio Stankov opened on the bench for ADO Den Haag before he made a late introduction in the 85th minute to take the place of Maic Sema.

Yani Urdinov played all 90 minutes for Željezničar and was part of a defense that kept a clean sheet in the goalless draw against rival Sarajevo.

Jasmin Mecinovikj played the entire game for Lombard Pápa who scored two goals after the 70th minute to collect a come from behind victory and reach the next round of the Hungarian Cup.

Czech Republic, Pohár České Pošty, Příbram – Dukla Praha 1:2
Zoran Danoski was not among the 18 players called up by Příbram.

Georgia, Georgian Cup, Dinamo Tbilisi – Khobi 6:0
Darko Glishikj played all 90 minutes for Dinamo Tbilisi in the comfortable victory over Khobi to easily reach the next round of the Georgian Cup.

Croatia, Hrvatski Nogometni Kup, Novigrad – Inter Zaprešić 0:2
Ilija Nestorovski played the entire game for Inter Zaprešić and proved instrumental in the win with a goal and an assist, leading his team to the quarter-finals of the Croatian Cup.  Nestorovski provided the assist to Ivan Čeliković in the 59th minute before he then put the game away in the 64th minute with a goal of his own past the Novigrad keeper.

Slovenia, Pokal Slovenije, Celje – Rudar 1:3
Dragan Chadikovski was an unused substitute for Celje.
