Agim Ibraimi missed Thursday’s training for Caglairi with an ankle contusion, and his availability is a question mark heading into Sunday’s road game against Verona.
Cagliari announced that Agim Ibraimi missed training on Thursday due to an ankle contusion. The injury occurred during the Caglairi vs. Bologna game on Wednesday, as Ibraimi has a big bruise on his ankle that makes it difficult for him to attempt powerful shots without feeling pain in the ankle. That was the reason he was substituted at the halftime break in Wednesday’s game.
The Italian club lists Ibraimi as a serious doubt for their upcoming game against Verona on Sunday. Although he has yet to be ruled out, if Agim is unable to train by Saturday, it is a good bet that he will not be included in the Cagliari squad for that game. Usually, with ankle contusions/bruises, rest is most effective in alleviating some of the pain.
Since moving to Cagliari on a season long loan, from Maribor, just before the close of the summer transfer window, Ibraimi has made 5 league appearances in Serie A.
