Daniel Georgievski played the entire game for Steaua București and nearly provided an assist in the 42nd minute when his cross from the right reached Federico Piovaccari whose header was barely saved before going out for a corner kick. Meanwhile, for Dinamo Tbilisi, Darko Glishikj was an unused substitute. Steaua won 3:1 on aggregate to reach the play-off round of the Champions League.

Agim Ibraimi started for Maribor on the left wing and played until the 84th minute when he was substituted by Amir Dervisevic. After the two games, it was 1:1 on aggregate, but Maribor got the all important away goal in the first leg to progress to the next round.

Aleksandar Trajkovski started on the bench for Zulte Waregem before he entered the game in the 72nd minute replacing Mbaye Leye. Zulte Waregem lost 0:5 on aggregate over the two games against PSV, and they will now proceed to the play-off round of the Europa League.

Boban Grncharov played all 90 minutes for Botev Plovdiv and was part of a defense that kept a clean sheet. Grncharov managed to score a goal in the 72nd minute from close range, but it was ruled offside by the assistant referee. Botev Plovdiv proved to be challenging opposition for Stuttgart, but the away goal in the first leg was just enough to help the German side reach the next round.

Mirko Ivanovski played the entire game for Astra and scored the first goal for his team in the 86th minute with a right footed shot from the edge of the area. After the goal, Mirko went to the sidelines where he grabbed a shirt that read “Karpalak 2001, Vecna Slava.” Ivanovski said he did this to pay respect to the casualties from the 2001 war in Macedonia. He also picked up a yellow card earlier in the 43rd minute. Astra prevailed 5:3 on aggregate to reach the play-off round of the Europa League.

Muarem Muarem began the game on the bench for Qarabağ before he was introduced in the 72nd minute to take the place of Leroy George. Qarabağ dispatched Swedish side Gefle 3:0 on aggregate to reach the next round of the competition.
