Agim Ibraimi played all 90 minutes for Maribor who needed a goal in each half to defeat Birkirkara. Maribor won 2:0 on aggregate, after the first leg finished goalless, to set up a matchup with APOEL in the third qualifying round of the Champions League.

Yani Urdinov started at left-back for Željezničar and played the entire game in the narrow home defeat against Viktoria Plzeň. Urdinov was also shown a yellow card in the 51st minute. Željezničar, who lost 3:4 in the first leg, played with an extra player in the return leg after Viktoria Plzeň had a player sent off in the 20th minute, but the Bosnian team could not revert the scoreline and lost 1:2 to make the aggregate score 6:4 in favor of the defending Czech champions.

Darko Glishikj opened on the bench for Dinamo Tbilisi before he entered the game in the 70th minute to substitute Giorgi Papava. Glisikj then went on to scored the third goal for Dinamo Tbilisi in the 84th minute with a nice left footed shot to the upper right corner.

Igor Mitreski started at CB for Neftçi and played until the 90th minute when he was shown a red card by the referee. With both games ending 0:0 in regulation, this return leg went into extra time where Skenderbeu scored the lone goal in the 116th minute to reach the next round of the competition.

Boban Grncharov played all 90 minutes for Botev Plovdiv and was part of a defense that kept a clean sheet. Botev Plovdiv won 3:1 on aggregate to move into the third qualifying round where they will face German side Stuttgart.

Mirko Ivanovski was an unused substitute for Astra who won 3:2 on aggregate to dispatch Omonia, a club managed by former Macedonian great Toni Savevski.

Aleksandar Todorovski started for Sturm Graz and played until the 83rd minute when he was replaced by Andreas Hölzl. Todorovski also collected a yellow card in the 65th minute as Sturm Graz was eliminated from the Europa League.

Muarem Muarem was an unused substitute for Qarabağ who scored a goal in extra time to reach the next round of the Europa League. Both home teams won 2:1 in regulation time, but Qarabağ scored the decisive goal in extra time to set up a matchup with Swedish side Gefle in the third qualifying round.

Zoran Danoski started on the bench for Příbram before he came on at the start of the 2nd half to replace Lukáš Pleško. Danoski provided the assist on the lone goal for Příbram in the 83rd minute when he controlled a ball from a cross and found Petr Švancara who showed good finishing skills to reach the back of the net.
