Mitreski and Nuredinoski (in yellow) greet each other before their game; photo: pfl.azGoran Pandev assisted for Napoli but his team exited the Italian Cup competition with a loss to Bologna, while Nikolche Noveski and Mainz defeated Schalke 04 to advance to the quarter finals of the German Cup.

Italy, Coppa Italia, Napoli – Bologna 1:2
Goran Pandev played all 90 minutes for Napoli who suffered a second consecutive late loss against Bologna, this time in the Italian Cup.  Napoli was thus eliminated from the competition.  Pandev provided the assist on the lone Napoli goal in the 12th minute when his corner was headed home by Edinson Cavani.  Goran also had a big chance in the 85th minute but he hit the post from a good position inside the area.

Germany, DFB-Pokal, Schalke 04 – Mainz 1:2
Nikolche Noveski played the entire game for Mainz who got narrowly got past Schalke to reach the quarter-finals of the German Cup.

Germany, DFB-Pokal, Wolfsburg – Bayer Leverkusen 2:1
Ferhan Hasani was not included in the Wolfsburg squad.

Azerbaijan, Topaz Premyer Liqası, Neftçi – Bakı 1:1
Igor Mitreski played all 90 minutes at CB for Neftçi, while Edin Nuredinoski played from the start for Bakı and conceded one goal in the 9th minute.

Azerbaijan, Topaz Premyer Liqası, Qarabağ – Khazar Lankaran 1:0
Muarem Muarem started on the bench for Qarabağ before he entered the game in the 84th minute to substitute Richard Almeida.

Netherlands, KNVB Cup, Heerenveen – Feyenoord 2:2  (Feyenoord advanced 7:6 on penalties)
Samir Fazli was not among the 18 players called up by Heerenveen.

Georgia, Umaglesi Liga, Dinamo Tbilisi – Merani 3:1
Darko Glishic began the game on the bench for Dinamo Tbilisi before he came on in the 81st minute replacing Giorgi Gvelesiani.
