Midweek inteernationals performances (26-28.02.2019)

Krste Velkoski converted a penalty kick as most of the active midweek internationals had matches in the domestic cups.

Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kup BIH, Sarajevo – Zrinjski 1:0
Krste Velkoski decided the winner in this first quarter-final leg. The captain scored from the spot in the 9th minute and played until the 89th when Emir Halilović took his place.

Krste’s penalty:

Cyprus, Kýpello Kýprou Coca-Cola, Ermis – AEL 2:3 (agg. 2:7)
Davor Zdravkovski played the entire game for AEL who advances into the semi-finals.

Cyprus, Kýpello Kýprou Coca-Cola, APOEL – AEK 1:1
Both Daniel Mojsov and Ivan Trichkovski played the whole match for the visitors. Good result on the road before the return quarter-final leg at home.

England, Championship, QPR – Leeds United 1:0
Ezgjan Alioski played until the 81st minute when Isaiah Brown replaced him. His team conceded the goal earlier and failed to equalize.

Finland, Suomen Cup Group B, RoPS – KPV 0:2
Damjan Shishkovski was between the home team posts and conceded two goals.

Hungary, Magyar Kupa, Várda – Ferencváros 1:1 (1:3 agg.)
Stefan Spirovski is still not fully recovered so did not feature at this cup game. His team advanced into the quarter-finals. Stefan is back in training and should start playing soon.

Hungary, Magyar Kupa, Vidi – Taksony 3:0 (4:0 agg.)
Boban Nikolov played the whole match for Vidi who reached the quarter-finals.

Italy, Serie B, Crotone – Palermo 3:0
Ilija Nestorovski made his first start after returning from the injure and captained his team for the entire 90 minutes. Aleksandar Trajkovski was benched and substituted Przemysław Szymiński in the 79th minute, just seconds after the second goal. Disappointing result for their team who now dropped into third place.

Romania, Cupa României, Hermannstadt – Viitorul 2:3
Besart Abdurahimi got back in Hermannstadt after leaving the club at the end of 2018 and right away played a game. He was introduced during the half-time break instead of Ivan Lendrić as his team was two goals down. His team failed to use the home field advantage and since it was a single legged quarter-final Besart won’t be playing into the semis.

Romania, Cupa României, Dunărea – Astra 1:2
Filip Gligorov came back after the injury and played the entire 90 minutes. His team failed to recover after conceding two goals in the opening minutes and faced a quarter-final elimination.

Romania, Cupa României, Sepsi – Cluj 0:1
Marko Simonovski wasn’t summoned due to injury and won’t be able to play in the rest of the cup as his team got eliminated.

Switzerland, Schweizer Cup, Zürich – Kriens 2:1
Shkodran Sulejmani started on the visiting bench and got to play the last ten minutes substituting Saleh Chihadeh. Unfortunately, just three minute later his team conceded the decisive goal and got knocked-out in the quarter-finals.
