Former member of the Macedonian national team Mensur Kurtisi is currently on trial at Ukrainian club Karpaty.

Kurtisi will start for Karpaty in today’s friendly between the Ukrainian club and Videoton from Hungary.  If Kurtisi impresses during his trial, he might become a teammate of fellow Macedonian Martin Bogatinov who is already a member of the team from the city of Lviv.

Kurtisi spent last year in Saudi Arabia but is currently a free agent and looking for a club.  He had the most success in Austria and was named as the best player of the Austrian second division during the 2007-2008 season.  He made two appearances for the Macedonian national team in the summer of 2010 but has not been called up since that time.
