Mensur Kurtishi has become Shkendija’s last signing this winter, joining them on the last day of the transfer window in Macedonia.
Shkendija has announced yet another signing this winter in striker Mensur Kurtishi. Kurtishi was brought to the team on the last day of the winter transfer window in Macedonia. He arrives on a free transfer after his contract expired with FC Tobol from Kazakhstan. Kurtishi will join Shkendija for his second tour of duty with the club as he played there before moving briefly to Kazakhstan.
Kurtishi was born in Macedonia, but he started playing football in Austria. He has made two appearances for the Macedonian national team. Back in 2008, MacedonianFootball.com conducted an interview with Kurtishi which you can view on that link.
Shkendija, by far, has been the most active team during this transfer window, presenting 9 new players. Besides Kurtishi, they have also signed Stênio Júnior, Yordan Miliev, Nuri Mustafi, Astrit Fazliu, Muhamed Useini, Demir Imeri, Bojan Vručina and Elvir Nurishi.The team is currently in Turkey where they are continuing their winter preparations, and Kurtishi will accompany his teammates there.
