Hungarian clubs made the last years good experiences with footballers from Macedonia, so recently quite often our players make transfers to that country. Matej Cvetanoski signed a deal with Gyirmót SE, a club that actually fights against relegation in the Hungarian top tier called Nemzeti Bajnokság. For the winger this is the first move abroad at the age of 24.
Highlights of Matej:
Cvetanoski is kind of a late bloomer. The winger doesn’t have a lot of games for the Macedonian youth national teams, also he still waits for his first call up for the senior NT. Matej has the talent to make this step and could come much closer to that goal by playing regularly in Hungary. Lately he played for Shkupi, Vardar, Pelister and Makedonija Gjorce Petrov and was the last years one of the best players of the 1.MFL.
His biggest strenghts are his pace and dribbling skills, he is one of the rare Macedonian players that can easily win 1 vs 1 duels.
His weakness is that he lacks some power in direct duels and also sometimes he tends to play to complicated. In Hungary he could make a step further and eliminate those weaknesses.
