Newcastle Macedonia has stepped in to replace Coniston Lions in the 2014 Maso Cup.

Coniston Lions cancelled their participation at the 2014 edition of the Maso Cup, but their place was quickly taken by local side Newcastle Macedonia.

The change occurs in Group D where title holders Rockdale City Suns and Queanbeyan will now play against newcomers Newcastle Macedonia. There are no changes to the schedule as Newcastle Macedonia will play the matches that were set for Coniston Lions.

The Maso Cup starts on Saturday at 10.00 am local time with the opening Group A game being between co-hosts Broadmeadow Magic and Yagoona Lions.
