Macedonian squad for friendly v Luxembourg

Srecko Katanec, the coach of the Macedonian national team, announced the 18-men squad for the friendly match against Luxembourg for the final preparations before the WC 2010 qualifications.

The match will be played on 20th of August in Luxembourg.

Goalkeepers: Petar Milosevski (Enosis Neon Paralimni FC), Tomislav Pacovski (FK Vardar Skopje).

Defenders: Goce Sedloski (SV Mattersburg),  Igor Mitreski (FC Energie Cottbus), Vlade Lazarevski (Groclin Dyskobolia), Nikolce Noveski (1. FSV Mainz 05), Goran Popov (SC Heerenveen), Robert Petrov (Panserraikos FC), Miroslav Vajs (FK Vardar Skopje).

Midfielders: Vlatko Grozdanoski (FK Vojvodina Novi Sad), Darko Tasevski (PFC Levski Sofia), Artim Polozani (FK Vardar Skopje), Vanco Trajanov (FC Chernomorec), Velice Shumulikoski (Ipswich Town FC), Ertan Demiri (K.S.C. Lokeren).

Strikers: Goran Pandev (S.S. Lazio), Goran Maznov (FC Tom Tomsk), Ilco Naumoski (SV Mattersburg).

The squad doesn't differ much from the previously called players. It is notable that Demiri is called and that there are 3 players that are coming from a macedonian football club (in this case Vardar). There will only be 3 strikers as Aco Stojkov is in search for a new club, while Stevica Ristic plays in South Korea and will not be called for a friendly match. The players' meeting is arranged for 18th of August in Hotel Novotel in Luxembourg.
