Skopje trashed Gostivar, Makedonija GjP beat Gorno Lisiche, important wins for Babi, Korzo and Novaci, Ohrid to quit the league.
The four First League candidates faced in two different games in Skopje. In the Avtokomanda neighbourhood, Skopje not just beat but trashed Gostivar with four goals to nothing. The visitors had to play with a man down for 89 minutes as goalkeeper Miftari was sent off for a foul outside the box. Than it was easier for Skopje who’s players four times found the back of the net of Gostivar’s reserve keeper.
In the other game played in the Gjorche Petrov neighbourhood, Makedonija beat Gorno Lisice with 2:1. Veteran captain Vasko Bozhinovski brought the lead, while bomber Boban Janchevski doubled it. Later the visitors managed to score only one. Now Makedonija is still first but with 4 points more than Skopje who is now second. Gorno lisiche is third with 51, while Gostivar fourth with a point less.
In the battle for avoinding relegation, Babi, Korzo and Novaci clinched important wins. Babi hosted Rufeja in Shtip and won with a lone goal, while Korzo celebrated a 3:1 win over 11 Oktomvri in this neighbouring derby. Novaci faced Pobeda Junior and beat them 2:1. Madjari Solidarnost got only a point from the home game with Vrapchishte,so after these results now Babi and Lokomotiv are tied on points at the relegation play-off place.
But, Lokomotiv has a game in hand as their match with Ohrid never took place. The visitors didn’t show up in Skopje and rumors are saying that the last placed team will quit the league due to finacial problems.
