The Second League got under way for the 2013-14 season with the first round taking place today.
A week after the start of the First League, the Second League also got its season underway. In a campaign where many teams will fear relegation, since FFM announced that half the clubs in the 16 team Second League will get relegated this season, the pressure will be on to get off to a good start and build some momentum. Beginning in 2014/15, both the First and Second Leagues will go down to 10 teams apiece. The move was done to ultimately increase the quality of the product.
The first round brought five home wins, two draws, and just one road victory. Vrapchiste and Korzo both celebrated three goal victories in the most convincing results of the round.
