Midweek internationals performances

Mensur Kurtishi Mensur Kurtisi with a hat-trick for Magna Wiener Neustadt, Mirko Ivanovski makes his debut with Slavia Praha, while Velice Sumulikoski continues to be left out by Preston North End.

Austria, ÖFB Stiegl-Cup, Lustenau – Magna Wr Neustadt 1:3
Mensur Kurtisi got the start for the visitors and scored a hat-trick.  He opened the scoring in the 24th minute with a well taken penalty and scored twice in the 2nd half.  Kurtisi played the entire game.

Czech Republic, 1. Gambrinus Liga, Slavia Praha – Budejovice 3:2
Riste Naumov was in the starting lineup for Slavia Praha and should have scored in the 39th minute to give his team a 3:1 lead but his finishing let him down.  Naumov played until the 87th minute when he was replaced with fellow Macedonian Mirko Ivanovski.

Switzerland, Axpo Super League, Grasshoppers – Aarau 2:0
Aco Stojkov was once again Aarau’s most threatening player.  He had a chance in the 4th minute when he went around his marker but his shot didn’t trouble the keeper.  Grasshoppers dominated possession and Aarau was relying on the counter-attack and they almost took the shock lead when Stojkov received a good cross but his header from five meters was wide of goal.  The score was 0:0 at halftime but it was all Grasshoppers in the 2nd half and they went on to win 2:0.

Romania, Liga I, Brasov – Vaslui 1:1

Dusan Savic made his 1st start with Brasov and had a good scoring chance in the 1st half but he missed.  Savic was substituted at halftime and Brasov will be disappointed with the draw as they dominated the match.

Hungary, Hungarian Cup, Debreceni – Honved 2:1
Mirsad Mijadinoski did not play for Debreceni.

England, League Championship, Preston North End – Doncaster 1:1
Velice Sumulikoski was not among the 18 players called up by Preston North End.

France, Ligue 1, Bordeaux – Auxerre 1:2
Robert Popov was not called up once again and hasn’t played a single minute for Auxerre this year.

Slovenia, 1.SNL, Koper – Olimpija
The game was postponed so no game for Agim Ibraimi and Olimpija.
