Busy weekend for many Macedonian international players. Here is a review of their performances.
Germany, 2.Bundesliga, Union Berlin – Energie Cottbus 1-1
Igor Mitreski missed his second straight game for Cottbus because of an injury. Mitreski might leave Cottbus in January as he has been linked with bothCSKA Sofia and Heerenveen.
Austria, T-Mobile Bundesliga, Mattersburg – SC Magna Wr Neustadt 1-3
Both Ilco Naumoski and Goce Sedloski started and played all 90 minutes for the home team. The game was tied at 1-1 when Macedonia born Mensur Kurtisi entered the game and he immediately gave the lead to the visitors who added another goal later in the game. For Mattersburg, a 3rd Macedonian played when Ostoja Stjepanovic entered the game in the 63rd minute. Stjepanovic and Naumoski also received yellow cards.
Bulgaria, A PFG, Slavia Sofia – Beroe 3-1
Robert Petrov played the whole game for Slavia.
England, League Championship, Cardiff – Preston North End 1:0
Velice Sumulikoski for the 3rd straight game was an unused substitute.
Germany, 1. Bundesliga, Eintracht Frankfurt – Mainz 2-0
Nikolce Noveski played the first 45 minutes for the visitors before he was replaced at the start of the 2nd half by Bo Svensson while Oka Nikolov started in goal for Eintracht. Nikolov’s teammate Aleksandar Vasoski is still out with an injury.
Belgium, Jupiler League, Standard Liege – Germinal Beerschot 2-2
Tome Pacovski played all 90 minutes for Germinal who are 3rd place in the Belgian League.
Bulgaria, A PFG, Lokomotiv Sofia – Lokomotiv Plovdiv 3-0
Zoran Baldovaliev started and played until the 76th minute for the home team.
Serbia, Jelen SuperLiga, Vojvodina – Javor Ivanjica 0-1
Mario Gjurovski started for Vojvodina and was taken off in the 66th minute. Vlatko Grozdanoski continues to sit for Vojvodina because he has refused to sign a contract extension.
Switzerland, Axpo Super League, Sion – St. Gallen 2:1
Aleksandar Mitreski played the full 90 minutes and received a yellow card in the 64th minute.
Ukraine, Vyshcha Liha, Karpaty Lviv- Vorskla Poltava 1-0
Neither Vlade Lazarevski nor Filip Despotovski played for their respective teams.
Poland, Orange Ekstraklasa, Polonia Warszawa – Korona Kielce 1-1
Filip Ivanovski opened the scoring in the 29th minute but his team couldn’t hang on as Kielce scored an equalizer in the 90th minute. Ivanovski was substituted in the 89th minute by Serbian Milan Nikolic.
Bulgaria, A PFG, PFC Sliven – Levski Sofia 1-0
Darko Tasevski played the full 90 minutes for Levski who surprisingly lost to Sliven.
Serbia, Jelen SuperLiga, Rad Belgrade – Napredak 2-1
Dragan Stojkov played all 90 minutes as Napredak continues to struggle.
Switzerland, Axpo Super League, Luzern – Aarau 6-0
Aco Stojkov played the full 90 minutes for Aarau but his team was thrashed and they remain last in the Swiss League.
Netherlands, Eredivisie, Heracles Almelo – Heerenveen 3-1
Goran Popov played all 90 minutes for Heerenveen.
