Stefan Ristovski started at right-back for Rijeka and played until the 79th minute when he was substituted by Ivan Tomečak. This was Stefan’s debut for the club since he was an unused substitute in the club’s previous two games. As was he coming out, the Rijeks fans gave Ristovski a pretty good ovation, so they were pleased with his performance. Meanwhile, for Slaven Belupo, striker Muzafer Ejupi scored two goals, the second coming on a converted penalty kick.

Marko Simonovski opened on the bench for RNK Split before he was introduced in the 76th minute to replace Drazen Bagaric.

Ilija Nestorovski played the entire game for Inter Zaprešić and scored the lone goal for his team in the 77th minute. The goal came on a nice looping header over the visiting keeper.

Zeni Husmani began on the bench for Domžale before he entered the pitch in the 70th minute to substitute Amedej Vetrih. Domžale led 3:0 after 53 minutes, Koper then scored two quick goals to reduce the deficit, but Domžale hung on to the win.

Mirko Ivanovski started in attack for Videoton and played the complete match. The defending league champion opened the new campaign with a minimal road loss against Honvéd.

Aleksandar Todorovski played all 90 minutes for Zagłębie Lubin and committed an early mistake that led to a goal Podbeskidzie. In the 2nd minute, Todorovski tried to send a header back to his keeper, but an opposing player intercepted the header and scored a goal. Aleksandar also picked up a yellow card in the 78th minute.

Adis Jahovic was out of action for Krylia Sovetov due to an injury. He should remain sidelined for one more month.

Ezgjan Alioski played the entire game for Schaffhausen who opened the new season with a slim victory over Neuchâtel Xamax.

Samir Fazli started for Wil and played until the 78th minute when he received his second yellow card of the game, thus leading to a red card. Fazli came close to scoring just before halftime, but his effort struck the post. Samir served as the captain for his team.

Taulant Sulejmanov-Seferi was not summoned in the Young Boys squad due to an injury. Taulant continues to be bothered after undergoing surgeries on both knees last season. Based on newspaper reports out of Switzerland, Young Boys will try to loan out Sulejmanov-Seferi before the end of the summer transfer window.

Mario Gjurovski played the opening 45 minutes for Muangthong United before he was replaced at the start of the 2nd half by Kasidech Wettayawong. It was that player, Kasidech Wettayawong, who scored the only goal for Muangthong United deep into stoppage time of the 90th minute.
