Belgium, Promotion Play-offs, Lommel United – Lierse 3:1
Daniel Mojsov was not among the 19 players called up by Lierse. Mojsov was eligible to return from his yellow cards suspension, but the manager decided to rely on younger players since Lierse was officially relegated in the previous match. Mojsov, a free agent this summer, is not expected to be back. He wants to join a top division club in Belgium, but it remains to be seen what kind of interest he will draw on the transfer market.

Belgium, Promotion Play-offs, Eupen – OH Leuven 0:1

OH Leuven needed a win or a draw to get promoted, and that is exactly what happened.

Belgium, Jupiler Pro League Play-off I, Anderlecht – Gent 2:1
Damjan Shishkovski was not summoned in the matchday squad by Gent. There was a chance for Shishkovski to be the #2 keeper for this final game of the season, since Gent already secured the title, but the manager decided against it. Instead, the usual backup (Brian Vandenbussche) started, while the usual starter (Matz Sels) was on the bench as the #2 keeper. Shishkovski did not make an appearance for the first team, but he is expected to return based on our talks with a Belgian journalist that covers Gent.

Austria, Tipico Bundesliga, Ried – Austria Wien 0:2

Muzafer Ejupi opened on the bench for Slaven Belupo before he was introduced in the 26th minute to replace Davor Vugrinec. The club was celebrating Vugrinec who, at age 40, was playing his final home game for Slaven. He got a big ovation in the 26th minute when the substitution was made. Ejupi came in and scored both goals in the 30th and 81st minute. This match was played on a pitch that was flooded by rain, but Slaven won’t mind after their 2:0 win.

David Babunski began on the bench for Barcelona B before he was introduced in the 58th minute to take the spot of Alen Halilovic. On the goal that made it 4:1, Babunski sent an accurate long ball to Jean Marie Dongou who did the rest with a calm finish past the keeper. Barcelona B dropped to last place with this loss. With just two rounds remaining this season, Barcelona B is still not mathematically relegated, but their odds of avoiding the drop are miniscule. It’s only a formality that should be made official after the next game.
