Several leagues around Europe got underway, marking the return of the Macedonian internationals performances.

Ukraine, Premyer-Liha, Dynamo Kyiv – Volyn 1:1
Vanche Shikov played the entire game for Volyn who opened the new league season in Ukraine with a hard fought point against Dynamo Kyiv.  Shikov also received a yellow card in the 32nd minute.

Slovenia, 1. SNL, Maribor – Zavrč 2:1
Agim Ibraimi played all 90 minutes for Maribor who needed a late goal in the 89th minute to down newly promoted side Zavrč, a club managed by Macedonian coach Viktor Trenevski.

Switzerland, Raiffeisen Super League, St. Gallen – Grasshoppers 0:2
Muhamed Demiri was not included in the St. Gallen squad due to an injury.  Demiri’s recovery from meniscus surgery has been slow and he remains out of action.

Switzerland, Challenge League, Lugano – Wil 2:1
Adis Jahovikj played the entire game for Wil and came close to scoring in the 27th minute when his shot took a deflection off of an opposing defender before striking the post.

Austria, ÖFB-Cup, Wiener Linien – Sturm Graz 0:5
Aleksandar Todorovski played all 90 minutes for Sturm Graz who rolled to a comfortable victory over lower division side Wiener Linien to advance to the next round of the Austrian Cup.

Slovakia, Corgoň Liga, Košice – Zlaté Moravce 2:0
Darko Tofiloski played from the start for Košice and kept a clean sheet in the opening round of the 2013-14 Slovak season.

Sweden, Allsvenskan, Mjällby – Djurgården 2:0
Daniel Ivanovski started at CB for Mjällby and played until the 75th minute when he was substituted by Robin Cederberg.

Japan, J.League, Nagoya – Sagan Tosu 3:2
Nikola Jakimovski was an unused substitute for Nagoya.

Kazakhstan, Premier League, Tobol – Aktobe 1:0
Nikola Tonev played the entire game for Tobol and was part of a defense that kept a clean sheet, while his teammate Mensur Kurtishi came off the bench in the 88th minute to replace Igor Bugaev.
