Macedonian internationals performances

Stevica Ristić; photo: hbrsport.comStevica Ristić scored his third goal in as many games for Suwon, Agim Ibraimi recovered from his injury and provided an assist for Maribor, while Vance Sikov and Volyn Lutsk recorded a surprising road victory against Dnipro.

Ukraine, Premyer-Liha, Dynamo Kyiv – Obolon Kyiv 4:0
Goran Popov was an unused substitute for Dynamo Kyiv as the manager decided to give him a rest so Popov can be fully ready for the first leg of the Champions League qualifier against Rubin Kazan on 26 July 2011.

Ukraine, Premyer-Liha, Shakhtar Donetsk – Karpaty Lviv 2:1
Martin Bogatinov played from the start for Karpaty Lviv and conceded two goals against the defending Ukrainian champions.  Bogatinov was not guilty on either goal as they both came from close range after some nice understanding by the Shakhtar players.  Karpaty Lviv took the lead in the 37th minute and played well for the majority of the game but they still suffered a narrow loss and only have one point from their first three league games.

Ukraine, Premyer-Liha, Dnipro – Volyn Lutsk 1:2
Vance Sikov started at right CB for Volyn Lutsk and played all 90 minutes as his club picked up a surprising road victory against Dnipro.  This game had a dramatic ending as Volyn Lutsk scored the game winning goal in the third minute of stoppage time in the 90th minute after Dnipro had just equalized the game at 1:1 in the 89th minute.

Ukraine, Premyer-Liha, Vorskla – Metalurh Donetsk 4:2
Mario Gjurovski was not among the 18 players called up by Metalurh Donetsk.

Ukraine, Premyer-Liha, Tavria – Metalist Kharkiv 0:0
Besart Ibraimi was an unused substitute for Tavria who played a goalless draw against the third placed team from the Ukrainian top division last season.

Austria, T-Mobile Bundesliga, Sturm Graz – Mattersburg 2:2
Ilco Naumoski started for Mattersburg and played until the 60th minute when he was replaced by Stefan Ilsanker.  Naumoski contributed to one goal that was wrongly disallowed by the referee.  Ilco showed good skill before he made a dangerous cross from the left which reached his teammate Patrick Bürger who scored from close range.  However, the assistant referee ruled the cross by Naumoski went out of bounds but replays showed that was not the case and the goal should have stood for Mattersburg.  Naumoski continues to have disciplinary problems as he picked up another yellow card in the 13th minute of this game.

Austria, T-Mobile Bundesliga, Admira – Kapfenberg 1:1
Filip Gacevski was an unused substitute for Kapfenberg as he was the #2 keeper behind Raphael Wolf.  Gacevski is a member of the Macedonian U21 national team and was on the bench for this game because the usual backup keeper of Kapfenberg was out with an injury.

Switzerland, Axpo Super League, Thun – Grasshopper 3:0
Muhamed Demiri began on the bench for Thun before he came on in the 68th minute replacing Christian Schneuwly.  Thun recorded a convincing home victory and was helped by the fact that the visitors ended the game with nine men after two of their players received red cards.

Switzerland, Challenge League, Winterthur – Aarau 1:2
Aco Stojkov started on the bench for Aarau before he entered the game in the 88th minute replacing Moustapha Dabo.  The new Aarau manager René Weiler has stated that Stojkov is no longer guaranteed a starter place and he must be more motivated if he wants to earn more playing time.  Stojkov has been frustrated to remain with Aarau because he does not want to play in the Swiss second division but no other team has made an offer that was acceptable to Aarau so they have kept Stojkov on the team.  This is the last year on his contract but Stojkov will have to show the right attitute in training if he wants to return as a starter for Aarau and help the club win promotion to the Swiss top division.

France, Coupe de la Ligue, Amiens – Nîmes 2:0
Vlade Lazarevski was not among the 18 players called up by Amiens.

South Korea, K-League, Busan – Suwon 4:3
Stevica Ristić started for Suwon and played until the 71st minute when he was replaced by Ha Tae-Gyun.  Ristić scored his third goal in as many games for Suwon when he converted a penalty in the 22nd minute.

Denmark, Superliga, Lyngby – SønderjyskE 0:1
Bajram Fetai played the entire game for Lyngby and also picked up a yellow card in the 64th minute.  Fetai attempted a shot in the 20th minute but it didn’t have much power and the SønderjyskE keeper made a comfortable save.  In the 77th minute, Fetai almost scored an own goal as the visitors played a long throw in the box and one of the opposing players hit the ball that deflected off of Fetai but the Lyngby keeper was alert and made the diving save.

Romania, Liga I Bergenbier, Dinamo Bucureşti – Târgu Mureş 1:0
Kristijan Naumovski was not called up by Dinamo Bucureşti as Cristian Bălgrădean started in goal while George Curcă was on the bench as the #2 keeper.

Czech Republic, Ceský Superpohár, Viktoria Plzeň – Mladá Boleslav 1:1  (Viktoria Plzeň won 4:2 on penalties)
Vladimir Dimitrovski was not among the 18 players called up by Mladá Boleslav who lost the Czech Super Cup on penalty kicks against Viktoria Plzeň.  The game was tied at 1:1 after 90 minutes so it went directly into penalty kicks where Viktoria Plzeň came out on top to win their first trophy of the season.

Croatia, T-Com Prva HNL, Karlovac – Istra 1961 2:1
Armend Alimi played the entire game for Istra 1961 and had a good chance in the 38th minute after linking up well with one of his teammate but his shot went just wide of the goal.  Istra 1961 suffered a tough loss to open the Croatian season as the home side scored the game winning goal during the second minute of stoppage time in the 90th minute.

Croatia, T-Com Prva HNL, Dinamo Zagreb – Inter Zaprešic 2:0
Goran Todorcev played all 90 minutes for Inter Zaprešic while his teammate Goran Gancev started on the bench before he entered the game in the 90th minute replacing Hrvoje Jančetić.

Slovenia, 1. SNL, Nafta – Maribor 1:2
Agim Ibraimi recovered from his injury for Maribor and was given the start against his former team Nafta.  Ibraimi eventually played until the 88th minute when he was substituted by Rajko Rep and had a solid game as he played a part in both goals for Maribor.  In the 37th minute, Ibraimi took a free kick which initially reached Aleksander Rajčević in the box who then played a good ball for Dalibor Volaš who scored with a sliding attempt in front of the goal.  Ibraimi was credited with the assist on the second goal for Maribor in the 84th minute when his cross reached Robert Berič who scored on a header from close range.

Slovenia, 1. SNL, Koper – Olimpija Ljubljana 1:1
Filip Timov did not play for Koper while Dragan Cadikovski started for Olimpija Ljubljana and played until the 90th minute when he was replaced by Adnan Bešić.  Cadikovski had a good chance at the start of the 2nd half but his header went just wide of the goal.

Slovakia, Corgon Liga, Košice – Spartak Trnava 1:1
Darko Tofiloski played from the start for Košice and conceded one goal in the 79th minute.  The visitors scored on a great shot from about 30 meters that had perfect placement and Tofiloski could only look as the ball reached the back of the net.  Before he conceded the goal, Tofiloski made two diving saves on headers following free kicks and also saved one shot directly from a free kick and it went for a corner.

Poland, Unibet 1. Liga, Arka Gdynia – Warta Poznań 0:0
Mirko Ivanovski started on the bench for Arka Gdynia before he entered the game in the 70th minute replacing Janusz Surdykowski.  Ivanovski almost scored moments after entering the game as his teammate played a good ball from the left but a visiting defender showed good awareness and made a good clearance just before the ball would have reached Ivanovski.  Minutes later, in the 75th minute, Ivanovski should have scored but his shot from outside of the box hit the post.  Ivanovski was active and had another chance in the 90th minute but his shot from a dangerous position was struck inaccurately and it went wide of the goal.

Moldova, Divizia Naţională, Dacia – Nistru Otaci 1:0
Goran Dimovski played the entire game for Dacia and contributed the assist on the only goal of the game in the 78th minute when his cross was missed by a visiting defender before the ball reached attacker Ghenadie Orbu who scored from close range to give Dacia the narrow home victory.

Sweden, Allsvenskan, Mjällby – Gefle 5:1
Daniel Ivanovski recovered from his broken collarbone and made the bench for Mjällby but he was an unused substitute as he continues to build up his fitness levels after being sidelined with the injury for several months.

Kazakhstan, Premier-liga, Ordabasy – Astana 1:1
Bobi Bozinovski was an unused substitute for Astana.
