Macedonian internationals performances

Shinji Kagawa and Aleksandar VasoskiGoran Pandev scored a goal and had an assist as Inter won the 2010 FIFA Club World Cup, Ivan Trickovski continued his great form with another goal for APOEL, Boban Grncarov assisted on the game winning goal for APOEL, while Igor Mitreski and Robert Petrov scored their first goals for their new teams in Azerbaijan.

2010 FIFA Club World Cup, Final, Mazembe – Inter 0:3
Goran Pandev played all 90 minutes for Inter and had a solid game with a goal and an assist as Inter won the 2010 FIFA Club World Cup.  Pandev opened the scoring in the 13th minute by showing good ball control after he received a pass from Samuel Eto’o and scoring past the diving Mazembe keeper.  Four minutes later, Pandev got a somewhat lucky assist as Javier Zanetti made a cross from the right which Pandev couldn’t control but the ball fell perfectly for Samuel Eto’o whose shot from the edge of the box went past the opposing keeper.  Pandev should have gotten a legitimate assist in the 42nd minute when he sent a great through ball for Diego Milito but Milito waited too long to shoot and his weak effort was saved by the Mazembe keeper.  Pandev was not as active in the 2nd half but Inter stayed in control of the game and Pandev won his 5th trophy since joining Inter back in early January of 2010 after his bitter contract dispute with Lazio.

Germany, 1.Bundesliga, St. Pauli – Mainz 05 2:4
Nikolce Noveski played the entire game for Mainz who got back to their winning ways and concluded a very successful first half in the Bundesliga by currently being in second place with 33 points.  Noveski, who is the captain of Mainz, has started in all 17 league games and has played the maximum 1530 minutes.

Germany, 1.Bundesliga, Eintracht Frankfurt – Borussia Dortmund 1:0
Aleksandar Vasoski played all 90 minutes for Eintracht Frankfurt while his teammate Oka Nikolov was not called up because of an injury as Eintracht handed Borussia Dortmund their first road loss of the season.  Vasoski seemed a bit shaky on defense even though his club kept a clean sheet as he almost conceded a penalty in the 2nd half for making contact in the box with Robert Lewandowski but the referee waved play on and then he almost scored an own goal in the 63rd minute when he was in a duel with Shinji Kagawa and he inadvertently flicked the ball back to his keeper who barely was able to touch the ball and it went for a corner.  Eintracht Frankfurt scored the only goal of the game in the 87th minute to pick up an impressive win over Borussia Dortmund, the current leaders in the Bundesliga with 43 points after 17 rounds.

Germany, 2.Bundesliga, 1860 München – Paderborn 0:1
Dragan Georgiev was once again not called up by Paderborn.  Georgiev is on loan at Paderborn from Mainz 05 but it doesn’t appear that he is in the plans of Paderborn manager Andre Schubert so it wouldn’t be surprising if Mainz take back Georgiev in January and then decide what’s best for his long term future.  Georgiev can’t play for the Mainz II team or any other youth team in Germany because he is a non EU player.Boban Grncarov (L) watches keeper Petar Milosevski

Cyprus, Marfin Laiki League, APOEL – Enosis Neon Paralimni 2:1
Boban Grncarov played the entire game for APOEL while his teammate Ivan Trickovski also got the start and played until the 86th minute when he was replaced by Marinos Satsias.  Trickovski continued his great form as he scored the first goal for his team in the 68th minute when Marcinho made a back-heel pass to Trickovski whose shot from just outside of the box took a small deflection and it went past the Enosis keeper Petar Milosevski.  Trickovski had another chance earlier in the 35th minute when he showed great skill to create some space from his marker before he unleashed a powerful right footed shot from the right which was just wide of the goal even though it seemed that Milosevski got a piece of the ball but the referee did not award APOEL with a corner.  Grncarov also played a big part in the win as he provided the assist on the second goal for APOEL in the 82nd minute when he used his height to win a duel in the air following a corner kick and then dove to pass the ball to Aílton Almeida whose shot from just inside the penalty area didn’t have much power but Milosevski saw the ball late and it went past him to the back of the net.  Grncarov also hit the right goal post in the 15th minute following a cross where Milosevski came out to punch the ball but Grncarov beat him to the ball and Milosevski was luckily saved by the post.  For Enosis Neon Paralimni, Petar Milosevski played from the start and conceded two goals while Bojan Markoski was not called up because of an injury.

Cyprus, Marfin Laiki League, Ethnikos Achnas – Omonia 0:0
Edin Nuredinoski played from the start for Ethnikos Achnas and kept a clean sheet, Vance Sikov did not play because of a yellow cards suspension, Stojan Ignjatov started before he was substituted in the 60th minute by Petros Filaniotis, while Filip Ivanovski started on the bench before he entered the game in the 89th minute replacing Brazilian Gelson.  Nuredinoski was the man of the match and the reason his club picked up a point as Omonia dominated the game but Nuredinoski was on top of his game and made a number of great saves including in the 13th, 35th, and 70th minute.

Turkey, Bank Asya 1.Lig, Orduspor – Denizlispor 0:0
Jovan Kostovski played all 90 minutes for Orduspor while his teammate Muarem Muarem also got the start and played until the 63rd minute when he was replaced by Bilal Türkgüler.  Muarem also picked up a yellow card in the 37th minute.

None of the three Macedonians, Yani Urdinov, Aleksandar Stankov, and Antonio Stankov, were called up by Roda.

Azerbaijan, Unibank Premyer Liqası, Gəncə – Neftçi 0:4
Both Igor Mitreski and Slavco Georgievski played the entire game for Neftçi as Mitreski also scored his first goal in a Neftçi uniform in the 64th minute to give his team the 2:0 lead and they went on to add two more goals and record an easy victory.

Azerbaijan, Unibank Premyer Liqası, FK Bakı – Inter Bakı 1:2

Azerbaijan, Unibank Premyer Liqası, AZAL – Qəbələ 2:2
