Macedonian internationals performances (02-04.08.2019)

A rather quiet weekend among the Macedonian internationals across Europe, with no goals scored by any of them and Darko Glishikj being the only one to pick up an assist this week.

Belgium, Jupiler Pro League, Kortrijk – Charleroi 1:1
Gjoko Zajkov returned into action for Charleroi after having missed out the previous round due to a red card suspension, and he played the whole match in the visitor’s defense line as they drew 1:1 against Kortrijk.

Bosnia-Herzegovina, BH Telecom Premijer Liga, Sarajevo – Sloboda 3:0
Krste Velkoski started on the bench for Sarajevo in this encounter and entered the field in the 59th minute.

Bosnia Herzegovina, BH Telecom Premijer Liga, Velež – Čelik 1:2
Kosta Manev and Yani Urdinov are still waiting for their debut for Čelik as both of them did not get to play in the away game against Velež.

Bulgaria, Parva Liga, Vitosha – Arda 1:3
Left back Darko Glishikj played another full game for Arda and he also got the assist for the final goal of the match, when his delivered free kick resulted in an own goal by one of Vitosha’s defenders. In their first time competing in Bulgaria’s top tier, Arda has now remained undefeated after four rounds this season.

Bulgaria, Parva Liga, Beroe – Dunav Ruse 2:0
Aleksandar Isaevski was benched for Dunav Ruse in this encounter against Beroe, and he made a late substitute appearance when he entered the match in the 89th minute.

Bulgaria, Parva Liga, Cherno More – Slavia 0:0
Darko Tasevski made the start for Slavia but he picked up an injury at the very beginning of the match and had to be substituted already in the 8th minute.

Croatia, Hrvatski Telekom Prva Liga, Dinamo – Gorica 3:1
Arijan Ademi got rested on the bench this round after having played the full match against Saburtalo in the Champions League qualifications on Wednesday. His team still easily handled Gorica and scored a 3:1 victory.

Croatia, Hrvatski Telekom Prva Liga, Istra – Varaždin 3:1
Agron Rufati watched from the bench as his club won 3:1 against Varaždin.

Croatia, Hrvatski Telekom Prva Liga, Osijek – Inter 3:1
Todor Todoroski and Mile Todorov spent the entire match on the hosts’ bench. For Mile this was the first time to get summoned in the first team, as he normally plays for Osijek’s second team in the second division.

Croatia, Hrvatski Telekom Prva Liga, Rijeka – Slaven Belupo 3:1
Muzafer Ejupi played the entire match for the visitors, while Darko Velkovski was once again not in Rijeka’s squad. Darko has not been summoned in the first three rounds of this season and there is no statement from the club as to what the reason for his absence is.

England, Championship, Bristol City – Leeds United 1:3
Ezgjan Alioski started the new Championship season on Leeds United’s bench and made a late substitute appearance in the 79th minute.

Finland, Veikkausliiga, Lahti – KPV 1:0
Filip Ivanovski did not make the matchday squad by KPV. The 34 years old striker has made only one appearance in the past 3 months when he played the final 7 minutes of the match against RoPS at the end of June.

Hungary, OTP Bank Liga, Újpest – Puskás 1:3
Kire Ristevski and his club started the new season with a 1:3 loss at home against Puskás. Kire played the entire game for the hosts.

Hungary, OTP Bank Liga, Fehérvár – Kaposvár 4:2
Boban Nikolov opened the new season in Hungary on the bench for Fehérvár, but he entered the game already in the 38th minute to replace Bosnian international Hadžić who picked up an injury.

Portugal, Super Cup, Benfica – Sporting 5:0
Stefan Ristovski didn’t play for Sporting due to an injury.

Romania, Liga I Betano, Botoșani – Gaz Metan 1:1
Stefan Ashkovski played the whole game on the hosts left wing, while Mite Cikarski didn’t make Gaz Metan’s matchday squad.

Romania, Liga I Betano, Sepsi – Viitorul 2:2
Marko Simonovski was an unused substitute for Sepsi.

Serbia, SuperLiga, Radnički – Javor 2:1
Aleksandar Todorovski was a starter for the home side like Aleksa Amanovikj was for Javor and both played the whole match. Aleksa’s team opened the score in the 18th minute, but Aleks’ team answered with two goals and thus took three points.

Serbia, SuperLiga, Čukarički – Radnik 1:0
Winger Boban Georgiev played all minutes for Radnik as his team lost away to Čukarički, while his teammates Nikola Bogdanovski and Zoran Danoski didn’t make the matchday squad.

Slovakia, Fortuna Liga, Spartak – Nitra 2:0
Milan Ristovski was fielded at center-forward by Nitra and lasted the entire game on the pitch.

Slovakia, Fortuna Liga, Ružomberok – Pohronie 0:1
Tihomir Kostadinov opened on the hosts right wing and played 65 minutes in the loss against Pohronie.

Slovakia, Fortuna Liga, ViOn – Zemplín 1:0
Tomche Grozdanovski played in defensive midfield for the hosts as his team gained a narrow win against Zemplín. Tomche was replaced in the 79th minute.

Slovakia, Fortuna Liga, Žilina – Trenčín 2:1
Enis Fazlagikj wasn’t called up by the hosts for this encounter.

Slovakia, Fortuna Liga, Sereď – Dunajská Streda 3:1
Goalie Dejan Iliev made his third consecutive start for Sereď and conceded one goal in the win against Dunajská Streda. This was the second consecutive win for him and his coach Slavcho Vojneski.
