Goran Pandev scores from a free kick in his first Derby della Madonnina, while Nikolce Noveski helps his team Mainz move up to 8th in the German Bundesliga.
Italy, Serie A, Inter – Milan 2:0
Goran Pandev partnered Diego Milito and the two presented many problems to Milan’s defense. Pandev assisted Milito who opened the scoring in the 10th minute as Inter dominated early on. Then Wesley Sneijder received a red card and that had a big effect on the game as Milan were now dominating possession but they could not beat Julio Cesar who made a number of great saves. Pandev and Milito combined nicely and Pandev had a great chance in the 61st minute but his shot hit the post. Four minutes later, Maicon was fouled and with Sneijder who is the free kick specialist out with a red card, Pandev was given a chance and scored a beautiful goal. He took his shirt off to celebrate and was given a yellow card. He was substituted the next minute for Thiago Motta with Inter putting in an extra midfielder to protect their 2:0 lead. Pandev now has 2 goals for Inter in four games.
Germany, 1. Bundesliga, Mainz – Hannover 96 1:0
Nikolce Noveski played all 90 minutes for Mainz who continue to impress in the German Bundesliga. Noveski has been a very consistent performer for Mainz and a big part of their success. He also received a yellow card in the 46th minute.

Oka Nikolov played all 90 minutes for the visitors while his Macedonian teammate Aleksandar Vasoskiremains out with a knee injury.
Germany, 1. Bundesliga, Bochum – Schalke 04 2:2
Besart Ibraimi was not among the 18 players called up by Schalke who will be disappointed with the draw as they blew a 2:0 lead and allowed two late goals in the 82nd and 90th minute.
Netherlands, Eredivisie, Heerenveen – Wilem II 4:2
Goran Popov played all 90 minutes for Heerenveen who got a much needed win. All six goals were scored in the 2nd half.
England, FA Cup, Preston North End – Chelsea 0:2
Velice Sumulikoski wasn’t even on the bench for this game. He’s been mostly an unused substitute as of late so it’s not a good sign that he wasn’t even called up. Sumulikoski was brought to Preston by Alan Irvine who was recently fired so he might not be in the plans of new manager Darren Ferguson.
Belgium, Jupiler League, Kortjirk – Germinal Beerschot 3:0
A tough two week stretch for Tome Pacovski and Germinal Beerschot. They lost 4:1 at home last week and followed it up with another bad showing away to Kortjirk.

Igor Gjuzelov played all 90 minutes for Cercle who suffered a narrow loss away to Anderlecht.
Belgium, EXQI League, Standard Wetteren – Lierse 2:2
Nderim Nedzipi started for Lierse but was taken off in the 54th minute when Lierse were losing 1:0. Lierse scored twice in the 63rd and 82nd minute to take the lead at 2:1 but Standard Wetteren scored the equalizer in the 84th minute and it ended up 2:2.
