Only a week after Vardar won in Skopje, Pelister revenged with the same result and won with 1:0 in the biggest Macedonian derby. Turnovo held Metalurg, Sileks drew with Milano, while Renova and Rabotnicki defeated Pobeda and Teteks.
Vardar had two big chances to score and change the history of these derby matches, but Pavlović saved Simovski’s shot in the 17th and Nastevski headed the ball over the goal in the 25th minute.
The biggest excitement happened in the 58th minute when Simonovski sent a cross from the left side and Aleksandar Veljanovski on the other side directed the ball in Vardar’s goal. This goal was worth three points as in the rest of the match Vardar failed to create and serious chance and Pelister successfully kept their lead.
Turnovo surprised Metalurg in Skopje. The guests took the lead with the goal by Cvetan Curlinov, but only five minutes later Metalurg equalized with the goal Blaze Ilijoski. At the beginning of the second half Stojanov earned a red card and Turnovo was left with ten men on the pitch, but Metalurg failed to use this and the match ended with 1:1.
Sileks drew with Milano with the same result. Nikola Bogoslovski took Milano in the lead, but only two minutes later Zlatko Boskovski equalized and set the final score.
Leaders Renova are slowly getting closer to their first title as they kept the lead in front of Rabotnicki. Ilber Ali scored both goals today for Renova, while Dragan Dimitrovski scored for Pobeda. Yesterday, Rabotnicki defeated Teteks with the same result. Bobi Bozinovski and Nikola Gligorov scored for the hosts and Aleksandar Urosevik for Teteks.
