Macedonian 1st League – Round 7

Makedonija - VardarMakedonija GjP and Vardar played derby of this round where the two leading teams met. Vardar were finally defeated and Makedonija made the season more interesting and joined them on the top.

Makedonija Gjorce Petrov – Vardar Skopje 1:0 (0:0)

The two leading teams, both undefeated before this round met in the derby. Makedonija GjP hosted Vardar and deserved the win, not because they played very good, but because Vardar played miserably. The hosts had more of the possession and created few good chances, but Washington and Ilievski failed to score.
Right on the start of the second half, Brnjarcevski made a fast run on the left flank and sent excellent cross towards the goal, where Washington managed to change the direction of the ball towards the net and score the crucial goal. Vardar then tried to equalize, but failed to create any many serious chances. The only good chance for scoring was in the 65th minute when Bajevski's shot was blocked by Makedonija's goalkeeper Pavlovic. Makedonija GjP, on the other side could have extended the lead with the chances created by the brazilians Washington and De Brito, but Vardar's defence and goalkeeper Pacovski were successful on those occasions.
After this crucial win, Makedonija ruined Vardar's 100% record and made the season more interesting by joining them on the top.

Napredok Kicevo – Renova Dzepciste 1:2 (0:2)
79' Pop Panev – 16' Trajcov, 27' Ibraimi
Renova won important three points on the away match at Napredok in Kicevo where not many teams have managed to leave with points. In the first half Napredok had more of the ball possesion, but failed to create chances. Renova were more concrete used their chances. In the 16th minute Ibraimi took a free kick and sent the shot towards Napredok's goal, where goalkeeper Jusufi made a big mistake which Trajcov used and scored the first goal. In the 27th minute Ibraimi came through alone against the goalkeeper and lobbed him for the 0:2 lead.
In the 2nd half Renova successfully kept their lead, until the 79th minute when Pop Panev scored for 1:2. This goal created tensed atmosphere, especially for Renova's players and in the next few minutes they were left with 9 men on the field because Despotovski and Andonov were sent-off. Renova were shown seven yellow and 2 red cards on this match. Napredok tried to use the players advantage and equalize in the last minutes, but Renova kept their lead.

Metalurg Skopje – Sileks Kratovo 2:0 (2:0)
32' Petreski, 45' Gjurcevski
Everything was decided in the first half on the stadium in Zelezara. Both teams had no win before this round and Sileks had the chance to improve their record today against the newly promoted Metalurg, but failed to convert their ball possession advantage into goals. In the 32nd minute Petreski sent a shot from the left side, the ball hit Sileks' defenders and finished in the goal. In the last moments of the first half Gjurcevski extended the lead with his nice goal from 20 meter free kick. The hosts successfully managed to save their lead in the second half and celebrated the first win this season.

Milano Kumanovo – Pelister Bitola 3:1 (1:0)
21' Geshovski, 57' 84' Alimi – 78' Dimitrovski
As expected, after the two defeats Milano won against Pelister who are still struggling to find their way out of the crisis and return on last year's positions. Milano had the lead on half time with the goal by Gesovski. In the 57th minute Alimi scored for 2:0. Just when everyone thought that the match is already decided, substitute Dragan Dimitrovski scored for returning Pelister chances. But Armend Alimi eliminated Pelister's hopes with his second goal in the 84th minute and set the final score.

Rabotnicki Skopje – Pobeda Prilep 2:2 (1:0)
45' Kirovski, 72' Milosevic – 49' Damevski, 54' Deilson
Current Macedonian champions continued with their unimpressive performances. The few hundred fans on the Gradski stadium in Skopje saw four goals in an not so quality performance by both sides. Kristijan Kirovski took Rabotnicki in the lead with his goal in the last moments of the first half. Pobeda started the 2nd half with more aggresiive play and Damevski equalized after a mistake by Rabotnicki's goalkeeper Naumovski. Few minutes laster brazilian player Deilson took Pobeda in the lead which gave Rabotnicki a reminder that they have to start attacking. The hosts took more of the possesion, but failed to create any serious chance until the 72nd minute when Miroslav Milosevic equalized with nice long shot. Later on the mathc, Pobeda tried to threaten on Rabotnicki's goal with counter-attacks, but failed to score, same as Rabotnicki who also didn't create many dangerous threats on Pobeda's goal.

Horizont Turnovo was free this round.
