Macedonian 1st League – Round 32

Rabotnicki won the former big derby of Skopje against Vardar. The teams of Shkendija and Cementarnica are definitely relegated after the matches of the 32nd round of the Macedonian first league.

The big Skopje derby between Vardar and Rabotnicki passed in the shadow of Vardar's big organisational problems. Once again Vardar played with the youth squad strengthened by  Aleksandar Bajevski who was the only player older then 19. On the other side Rabotnicki rested some of their key players for the Macedonian cup final next week, so there wasn't much quality in the derby. Serbian midfielder Ivan Jovanovic opened the score on the beginning of the 2nd half and Bajevski equalized from a penalty. Towards the end of the match Jovanovic scored his 2nd goal after a mistake by Vardar's young goalkeeper and set the final score.

After the results from the matches in the 32nd round, Cementarnica and Shkendija have lost their chance for avoiding the relagation and next year they will compete in the Macedonian 2nd league. In a match that has started a bit later than the other matches although the matches must start at same time in same day, Shkendija did not managed to restore hope.  Renova did not allow a surprise and celebrated the last win at home for this season. Bashkimi will play in the Play-out, after winning only one point in the match against Cementarnica. However, that point was enough for them to secure the 10th place. The other team that will play in the Play-out will be known after the matches from the last round and candidates for that position are Sileks, Napredok and Makedonija GjP. Sileks had the lead for a long time in the match against Pobeda. Pobeda even left with 10 players and what looked like 3 points for Sileks, turned out to be an exciting match in the end. Pobeda have equalized and soon Sileks have left with 10 men, as well. However, the final score remained 1-1. Napredok failed to hold on to the draw and conceded one goal away to Pelister. That goal certainly was devastating for Napredok and they didn't managed to bounce back. Makedonija GP was defeated by Milano with 2-0 and certainly we will see one very exciting last round concerning the 9th place on the table.
