Current champions Rabotnicki defeated last year's vice-champions Milano with high 4:0 in the most interesting duel this week which opened round 11 of the Macedonian first league.
Rabotnicki Skopje – Milano Kumanovo 4:0 (2:0)
41' 55' Kirovski, 43' Savic, 86' Ilijoski
Besides the good performance by Rabotnicki, this match will be remembered by the numerous yellow cards, one red card and one broken leg. The nervous play by both teams was awarded with many yellow cards by the referee Spirkoski, so many that your reporter wasn't able to count them all. The dirty play culminated in the 66th minute when Kukaj broke Aksentiev's leg with a dirty foul!
The match started with slow play by both sides. The few hundred people who came to see the derby on the Gradski, weren't able to see any beautiful play in the first part of the first half because of the long stoppage time after the many fouls on both side. And then in the second part of the first half, Milano unnecessarily pulled back and started their lethargic performance. Rabotnicki then speed up the tempo and pressed on Milano's goal. In the 41st minute Hristijan Kirovski broke alone in the box and scored the opening goal. Only two minutes later, Dusan Savic received a cross in the box and didn't find it hard to score for 2:0.
In the second half, Rabotnicki continued with pressing and tried to use the many holes in Milano's defence. Aksentiev created good chance and from the left side assisted Kirovski in the 55th minute when he scored his second goal. The current result raised the nervous between Milano's players and they continued with their aggressive play. In the 66th minute Liridon Kukaj made a rough start over Eftim Aksentiev and broke his leg. Kukaj was sent off and Aksentiev was immediately taken to the hospital. Rabotnicki continued attacking and towards the end of the match the newly entered Blaze Ilijoski confirmed the big win with his goal after the assist by Dimovski.
Makedonija GjP Skopje – Pelister Bitola 2:0 (1:0)
10' De Brito, 61' Osa
Makedonija GjP continued their good form on their ground in Gjorce Petrov. The hosts confirmed the favorite role over Pelister right on the start of the match and they took the lead in the 10th minute. After a cross from the right side, the tall Brazilian Washington steered the ball with a header to his compatriot De Brito who drove the ball in Pelister's goal. Pelister also had their chances in the first half, but their shots were not so dangerous.
Makedonija continued with their domination in the second half. In the 62nd minute Washinton broke through from the left side and found the Nigerian player Ice Cream Osa Guobadia who shot the ball in the undefeated part of the goal.
With this win and after Vardar's draw in Kratovo, Makedonija GjP returned on the leading position.
Sileks Kratovo – Vardar Skopje 0:0 (0:0)
The match in Kratovo lasted more than a usual football match. The reason for this, was the unpleasant situation created by the official of the football federation of Macedoni who insisted on removing a banner by the away fans. Vardar's supporters had banners with "anti-FFM" content and for unknown reasons the official on this match didn't allow this kind of expression. After the 25 minutes break, the official was ordered by his superiors to allow the match to be continued.
The situation on the stands was probably the most interesting part of the match. Milko Gjurovski had his debute as coach of Vardar, but the new coach didn't bring enough motivation for Vardar's players. They had more of the possesion and had a slight domination on the pitch, but failed to score and with this draw they lost the leading position.
Metalurg Skopje – Renova Dzepciste
62' Nuhiu – 32' Andonov
Relegation candidate Metalurg won important point against Renova, but this wasn't enough for escaping the bottom. The first part of the match went in slow tempo and not so many created chances. Renova used one of those chances when after a free kick from the right side, Andonov scored the opening goal with a header.
The guests were probably satisfied with the lead and pulled back, which allowed Metalurg to threaten on their goal. In the 62nd minute, Georgievski sent a cross from the left side which Renova's defenders failed to clear and the ball came to Nuhiu who scored the equalizer. This goal made the match more interesting because both teams started attacking in order to win the match, but the scorers on both sides were not in the mood for scoring more goals.
Horizont Turnovo – Napredok Kicevo 3:2 (2:1)
Very interesting "derby of the bottom" with five goals was played in Turnovo. The guests took the lead, but Turnovo made a turnover and ended the first half with a 2:1 lead. They increased the lead in the second half and Napredok managed to lower the lead from a penalty and the match ended with 3:2.
